Would rather lose him now rather than after game #12 next year (opt out of bowl). That said, any chance JB moves back to Vyper?

Very likely. I believe MF basically said he was playing Rover just to get him on the field some. Which was hard with both IF and JA at Vyper.

Ok good. This hurt slightly less if so. Still gonna say a Hail Mary Foskey blesses us with one more year tho...

Yesterday was like the worst case scenario for us here - Foskey has a big sack and a game changing forced fumble but we still lose the game.

I'll be pretty damn surprised if he's back after the wording of that tweet.

Prister and others seemed rather confident for the last few weeks he was more than likely returning. I see no reason to think that has changed because of a tweet you can take either way if you want.

I'll go with returning. If he was leaving I don't see why it wouldn't be out like Austin's news.

Random Twitter are ripping off Singer in this case. I posted earlier Prister/Loy have maintained that was most likely he returns since Elston/Freeman were staying. We’ll see.

ISD likewise said that’s how he’s leaning but “agents are very persuasive.” The #1 thing people aren’t talking about with the opt outs, NIL seeking and tampering, etc. is that most of it is driven by agents trying to protect their paycheck.

And yes, with current NIL rules players are now allowed to have agents while still in school.

As dumb as it may sound, I think the key for him is how he believes he will do at the combine. If he knows he'll kill it at the combine, he could realistically put himself in the top five edge guys, and would be a lock to get drafted wthin the first two rounds. That said, if he can kill it at the combine, he could be the 2nd best edge prospect next year behind Will Anderson, and a he'd a lock to go in the first round if he stays healthy.

Tough call but wish him luck either way.

This class is too deep for his position, it seems so obvious if he wants to be first round pick he stays another year.

ISD reporting that he's leaning towards coming back but "agent working him hard." I think decision day is tomorrow, based on public comments that he has made.

I just find it hard to believe that he would be hyping up this announcement so much if he was going to go pro. Basically 95% or more of those who are interested and following the announcement are ND fans. It would almost trolling. It comes on successive days as the Ademilola announcements, and I've got to say I'm pretty sure he's going to be coming back.

F*ck these guys. Looking out for his own paycheck before all else. We need to bring back the rule that prevents them from getting involved until the player officially declares.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid but anybody else think it’s a bad sign that we haven’t heard anything yet?

Loy and Prister had this as a return since the night Elston said he was back. Some message board and I’m sure agent jitters but those dudes have been on it with portal, carousel and roster stuff

Wow this team is going to be deep in the front 7 next year not to mention the talented LB’s coming in. I think this team is one solid corner away from being Elite Elite
