I'm probably misinterpreting your words, but are you suggesting Turner has leadership skills and two extra inches of height that Drue Tranquill doesn't have? Or are you saying you hope Turner (if he signs with ND) will have those same leadership skills in a slightly longer body?

Turner may be two inches taller than Tranquill (not that 2 inches of additional height really matters that much), but Tranquill certainly doesn't lack leadership skills. He was playing with one good ankle at times this season. His commitment to play when hurt was inspirational for the defense as a whole. One can only hope that Turner and/or Kiser will have that same type of character. The play of our defense this year displayed the leadership that previous ND defenses lacked. The play of Tranquill and Coney had a lot to do with that.

I'm just saying we have no idea if Asa is the greatest leader of all time, the worst, or somewhere in between. TBD.

I fully believe Tranquill is a fantastic leader.

Not sure where the the numbers came from as I could not find anything on him in terms of the Nike Opening. He does have a "sparq" listed on ESPN's page though. Anyway, I doubt the 40 time is accurate if WA is looking at him for S. IIRC film was pretty limited. If WA is going after him hard at S, that says something. If ND hasn't given up all this time, that says something. That's enough for me anyway.

He did The Opening LA Regional this past summer but didn't run the 40. I believe the score above was from the summer of 2017.
