yes and boykin is probably now a "no go"
Think it's more likely boykin already committed

UW feels good about their chances since ND didn’t get him to commit. BK going in home this week, UW coaches going in home, and then he’s visiting UW. Mom wants UW, and dad wants ND. Unfortunately, I have a feeling mom wins out on this one, but I hope I’m wrong.

UW have some of the biggest homers as mods. What happend to Ruth Robbins? It wouldn't surprise me if 247 fired her. I would never lay my hands on a women but I would hire someone to beat that senile old lady up
Wait, so Bracy or Gordon is a done deal? This thread confusingly meandered.
Who's on first?
As for Gordon, I think UW had their chance. They seemed to have put all their eggs in convincing Gordon not to visit ND. Didn't work. I think ND seals it when Kelly visits.
On the flip side, ND may have put all their eggs in convincing Gordon to commit and locking down his place in the class. Didn't work.
ND still has a visit to seal it, but so does UW.
Who said ND tried to get him to comit? Did they? That's not their normal approach with higher rated targets.
Anyway, I think visiting on your own dime in December from Washington--unless you are wealthy--says you are undecided. Why spend $400 if you know?
So I think it still up for grabs. Home team, or unique, national opportunity.
I agree with everything you said... just illustrating that speculation and projection can go both ways. We don't really know anything either way, so you can't speculate all the good angles about ND and dismiss the same in terms of UW.
Growing pessimism at UW, in regards to Kyler making his visit this weekend. While they were quite optimistic he wouldn’t visit ND, ND recruitniks we’re getting quotes from “sources” that the visit was definitely happening regardless of what UW wanted. No such quotes, at least that I’ve seen, regarding his visit to UW for this weekend. I guess we’ll see. If he doesn’t visit, I think we have our answer. If he does, then we get to sweat it out for a weekend, lol

really hoping this is one of the guys Micah and Houston were talking about.
The difference was, of course, that his family bought plane tickets to fly him out to South bend, whereas they can drive to UW.
And while I hope he doesn't visit, he sounds pretty level-headed. I don't expect as big as an emotional swing as I would expect with, say, Braden Lenzy.
So, because it's a substantially easier visit, they are less inclined to opine publicly? Not sure I agree with that logic. They were willing to publicly, very definitively, state that they were indeed taking the visit to ND, each and every time they were asked. If they are 100% taking this visit, what would stop them from doing the same?
Please let this happen. And can we please have NPF with Kyler Gordon, then we have one of the most complete classes that I can remember.
My point is that the family bought the tickets, so it seems pretty futile for the UW coaches to talk them out of it. That ship had sailed once they clicked "purchase." So when people asked the "insiders" around Kyler if he was still going, there was a clear answer: "yes, they already bought the tickets."
Now, on the other hand, the people around the family probably can't say with certainty whether they are going or not. The family can change its mind right up until Friday, since they can just hop in the car and go.
Exactly my point. If they were set on going, they could certainly make a public statement, for whatever reason they haven't. More than likely it's because there is some doubt if he truly wants to.
And my only point was, this may be because he is wavering, or it could just be because he doesn't have plane tickets, so the option of backing out will remain on the table.
- They had an objective basis for their previous public statement: "He has tickets, he's going."
- They have no such basis to make a similar public statement now: "I think he's planning on going, but he could change his mind since it isn't costing him anything."
I think we agree, I was just saying the current silence can be read in a different light.
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!!
It's a simple, yes we are going, It's his OV, this has been planned for a long time. If he was truly going to go to UW, there is zero reason he wouldn't go to this HUGE recruiting weekend for them. In fact, it is there fans that are pessimistic for the same reasons I've brought here. Now this could all be a moot point, but as of now, that's what it is. They are pessimistic, and rightfully so, because the Gordon camp has not stated whether they are visiting or not, at this point. That's bizarre.
Great point! I wasn't aware that it was his OV. I figured he took that during a game weekend. I thought it was the mirror image of what he did with ND-- a last minute unofficial.
I suppose I could've mentioned that earlier![]()
I thought that had already been mentioned.
Geographically he is already there.
He is an hour closer to the football office than those landing at sea- tac airport.
I don’t really understand his need to go OV to a place he had been often
Lucky assuming they'd play corner, who do you like better, Irving or Gordon?
