Meh.....kid doesn't know what he wants.....not sour grapes.......ND should want kids that know what they want.....they stick better that way
I'm starting to believe Lyght's going to go two years in a row without signing a single cornerback.
Gotta admit, kinda sounds like sour grapes. Lil bit.
Boykin and Bracy...and we are good....sweet juicy grapes...not the sour kind
.9666 4* Houston Griffith - IL - FSU
.9458 4* Chase Williams - CA - Nebraska
.9346 4* Alontae Taylor - TN - Tennessee
.9168 4* Kalon Gervin- MI - Top 6 of UF, Oreg, MSU, VT, OK, Neb
.9157 4* Kyler Gordon - WA - List not cut
.9033 4* Julius Irvin - CA - Top 5 of Mich, ND, USC, Utah, Wash
.8724 4* Noah Boykin - DC - Maryland
Would be unacceptable with 5 scholarship CB’s on ND’s roster for them not to have at least one of these guys or some other unnamed 4-5* talent come next season. Winning championships requires really good recruiting year in and year out. Can’t keep hoping 3* talent turns into good production in the secondary.
I'll take
Tariq Bracy
Kyler Gordon
& any two of the following
Taiyon Palmer
Travian Blaylock
Terrell Smith
Jarius Brents
Noah Boykin
I'd skip:
Wilkins
Taylor
and Crim at S so I could take 4 CB's.
We've picked up a ton of kids that committed to other schools, de-committed, were very confused for awhile, and then decided to come to ND. As 17 year-olds, they had no idea what they truly wanted, and yet ND still kept recruiting them. And most stayed all 4 (or 5) years. It's a long list of guys.Meh.....kid doesn't know what he wants.....not sour grapes.......ND should want kids that know what they want.....they stick better that way
You might do that but the staff won't. Crim is a favorite of Elko. One thing this defense lacks are safeties who can play in coverage. Crim will excel in this role. Four corners would be drastic overkill when our top five corners all return next year. I also like Wilkins a lot. Talk on another board that based on his SR. film he's going to receive a big bump up in the rankings at the end of the year. Give me Gordon, Bracy and Wilkins at CB and add Crim at safety.

Safeties that should be good in pass coverage:
Nick Coleman
Alohi Gilman
Isaiah Robertson
Jordan Genmark-Heath
Paul Moala
Derrik Allen
How is taking 4 CB's when you have 5 returning and none leaving any worse than taking 3 safeties when you have 7 returning and none leaving?
So let him. His offensive film is really damn good.
ISD continues to say that the staff will be turning down very good guys if the wins keep comingAt this point I don't think we end up with a top ten class unless something drastically changes. Michigan, FSU, Oklahoma, and LSU probably will rise up the rankings along with a huge jump from Bama when they start pulling out the check book.
