There’s been some social media follows from staff.Where you seeing smoke? I’ve only heard Sampson.
Teams having film on him by then probably contributed. His sophomore stats are pretty eye popping. This year pre injury it seems he had regressed. He was on pace for only about 2/3 the amount of yards and tds from the year prior on a worse completion percentage with twice as many ints.
Anybody that watched some NCST games have any insight?
Muscle tears always take longer to heal, but as pointed out, he could be working out late spring. If his pec injury heals appropriately, I’m all for it
There’s quite literally zero downside to bringing someone like Leary inId rather just see what Angelli can do.
You'd pass on a very good veteran QB to roll the dice on a 3* sophomore?Id rather just see what Angelli can do.

For those wondering about his timeline to return:
-Injured right pectoral muscle, throwing shoulder, during game on 10/8.
-Traveled to Florida to undergo surgery with renowned Dr James Andrews on 10/17.
-Typical pec injury takes 3-4 months, but his timeline due to throwing is 4-6 months per Dr Andrews. Patterson tore his the first week of March and was full go for fall practice starting 8/5, approx 5 months post surgery.
-Return would therefore fall between 2/17 and 4/17.
-2022 spring practice schedule started after spring break (3/5-3/13) on 3/17 culminating with Blue Gold game on 4/23.
-2023 spring schedule could be estimated to start after spring break - 3/4-3/12 - on the first Thursday, 3/16, and end 5 weeks later on 4/22 for the game.
-Leary would be post surgery 5 months on 3/17, at the start of spring practice.
To be fair, it was a beautiful hand off.62 touchdowns to 16 interceptions at the college level verses one college hand off.
The injury's not ideal, especially if it would keep him out of spring practice. But a healthy Leary has higher upside than just about anyone else likely to come on the market, and we'll have four other QBs to work with if he's not healthy (also RPIII). I think maybe you roll the dice here.I’d rather take the QB from GT. I don’t like a pec injury like this for a QB and him not being able to throw for that long while also not knowing what he’ll be like when it heals, if it heals correctly.

Thoughts and prayers.I’d rather take the QB from GT.
After USC let’s not discount the importance of a well executed hand off please62 touchdowns to 16 interceptions at the college level verses one college hand off.

Alabama and Tennessee agree..Thoughts and prayers.
No but it seems to be widely expected. His younger backup took the reins and played fairly well.Has he even announced that he is entering the portal?

Or maybe he's a better QB that makes his WRs look better?Sad that when I watch his highlights all I can think of is he has better receivers at NC State than he would have at ND.
