Slap The Sign Interviews Ademilola Twins Father About All Things Irish

Interesting interview with the dad. I really am seeing a yeoman's quality to the recruits, and their parents, in this class!
“You would be amazed at how many calls they get, even with being committed to Notre Dame. Coach Larry Johnson (Ohio State) has been calling Jayson for the last two days, telling him that he’s been watching his D line plays and that he might be the best D line player in the country,”

From Pete Kafaf, trainer of the twins, and Rashan Gary :

“I trained Rashan Gary when they were his age . Technically, they are farther along than Gary was going into their senior season. Rashan Gary was the most physically gifted player I have seen, but Jayson and Justin are further along from a technical standpoint.”

Great article. Those are two impressive quotes. Guess the twins are pretty good.

I was told the same thing about my talents vs my brother's (in basketball). Unfortunately he was 6'10" so that made up for all the technical advantages I had, and only 1 of us ended up playing D1 in college. I wouldn't get too excited about a trainer saying the twins are technically advanced but physically behind.

Ain't it the truth... If I was 6-10, I'd still be playing in Kazakhstan.

I mean 99.999% of players in the country are behind Gary from a physical standpoint

According to Pete Sampson the Ademilola boys are exploring being EE's. Would be nice to get them on campus in January.

the whole "can't EE because my HS won't let me" has to be old news now right, just do what Tate Martell did and transfer after your football season is done to a HS that will allow you EE and then show up for one day and then leave to head to college

That man from Vancouver is all over it!

He's beat the recruiting services on several "interest piece" stories recently.

He IS a recruiting analyst now and he clearly outworks everyone that covers ND.

Best of all, he doesn't treat info like it's Top Secret. Every kid self-publishes through Twitter and Instagram. I don't need someone's "breaking" news that a kid can announce himself. In the age of Twitter & Instagram, if you wanna be the guy who gets the scoop or the guy who breaks the story, go work for the Globe, the Post, the Times or the WSJ.

The subscription based recruiting model is a dinosaur yet somehow ND Football supports FIVE of them... but for how long?

They've said no to a lot of heavy players. They've said no to the University of NJ Football in Ann Arbor and they've said no to the National Champs. They've said no to OSU.

All I'm interested in is seeing how they react when Bama drops the offers.

After that, I pop the bubbly.

The more that this cycle goes on, the more I think Jayson is going to be 2018's #1b along with Phil... and he's going to be more important early while Phil gets in his clipboard reps.

Yep. To be honest, I don't think PJ's Jr tape made the jump like Jayson's did. I still think PJ has a higher ceiling if he puts all his variables together but something tells me Jay Ade is gonna be a beast.

I'm not great at tape, what style of player is he? Big Lou? Dexter Lawrence?

Faster, more dynamic the Louis. So in between Louis and Sheldon in that regard. He's no where as long as Lawrence. Lawrence is more like what Jaron could have been if he brought it every game.

I won't be able to find the thread now, but when OSU's interest in Jayson first became public. Wiltfong posted that this didn't come as a surprise to him, because there were multiple staffs, that believed he was one of the best DT's in the country.
