Ya boy Loy said he was on campus for a few hours and about an hour of that was spent with BK. Neither he nor Wiltfong have gotten a call back from Oweh yet. ISD hasn't been in touch with him directly but a source that is typically optimistic on ND recruiting was the most pessimistic on Oweh that he's ever been on an ND target.

Update on Jayson Oweh's visit to Notre Dame

Yea, the plan was for an 8 hour visit and they showed up basically 5-6 hours late. Time to move on.

Per the 247 interview, distance is an issue with mom, and ND is the furthest away. I guess if you can't get to campus on time, maybe it's a valid concern. They'd potentially miss games and all. Academics seem to have taken a back seat in this recruitment

What a bullshit excuse. Apparently a 7.5 hour drive is close to home? A degree from Notre Dame is definitely worth the extra 2 hour drive. If distance is a factor then go to Penn State.

Enjoy the bench your first 3 years of college.

Great news from our Canadian friend! Jayson Oweh has decided to hold off on a college decision until January. Good news for ND.

This without a doubt should help ND's chances. OSU, I would image they would be full by then and a good season should give prospects a whole new look at ND.

We need psu/osu to fill up by then.

Though each has 2 DE's already committed, the problem is they're fighting over the same 3 players to finish out the class:

Micah Parsons
Tyreke Smith
Jason Oweh

If 2 DE's join OSU, I think there's a good chance Chatfield will deco.

Bottom line he's uncertain where he wants to be so he'll let the season play out. Take official visits as well.

You know, good for him. It's a huge decision and you really only get to make it once. Make the right way.

Chatfield is already getting some "will he flip to Florida?" buzz.

A lot can happen between now and January: ND has a good season, coaches leave, other players commit, etc.

Oweh holding off a decision until January can only be a good thing for Notre Dame.

Yep and apparently, per Wiltfong, the parents want ND.

If the parents want ND, distance would seem like an overcome-able issue.

There seems to be a lot going on here, that is the opposite of what Oweh said after his ND visit. Im not going to get myself thinking in any one direction on this recruitment, until later in the process.

Believe it or not but Sampson said he's heard that Michah Parsons is not a take at OSU. Apparently even Urban Meyer doesn't want to deal with the baggage that comes with the kid. Imagine that.

But Boggs assured us that Micah was a solid kid

On a related note, CBs are coming in for Chatfield to flip from OSU to Florida. Wonder if Crusader is right and he's already reading the writing on the wall.

According to Sampson, based on what he's heard, ND has about a 1% chance here. Despite parents who graduated from Harvard this decision is not an academic one. Pretty much Penn St. or OSU.

Certainly not if it's down to hose two schools. Not saying one cannot obtain an outstanding education at one of them, however, for football players, they're not there to play school, lol

It's been that way for quite awhile with this recruitment. Good news is we get Joseph Ossai on campus this weekend and he's saying some pretty good things about ND going into the visit. Hopefully we can make a move on A&M.
