Positives: average football for the past decade.
1. Ditto
2. Academics difficult. Players constantly suspended because of it.

Have to wonder if him being at the game did more for us than MSU. Defense is looking so much better than last year.
Constantly suspended? Who currently is suspended for academic reasons?

They put the national storm prediction center in Oklahoma specifically because of its terrible weather... It's not even in the same categorical universe.
I also literally addressed the location thing in my post. It's further from Houston to Oklahoma than any adjacent state to ND.
10-4, OU is a major recruiter in North and East Texas, plays every year in Dallas (vs UT), and rotates into Ft. Worth (TCU), Waco (Baylor), Lubbock (TT), and occasionally Houston. Any Texas team would tell you OU is big time competition in a lucrative and fertile recruiting area. Norman is the same drive from Dallas as Austin. You'd have to think it's a win all around for not only Gervin but any of the other players present that ND has contact with. But MSU did pick up a commitment last night from Dwan Mathis a 4* QB from Detroit area. He's a poor man's Phil Jurkovec (aren't they all). Goes to show, some players see need and fit as more important than one bad night.
Besides more tornadoes, most would find Norman's weather much better than South Bend's. Warmer winters, longer spring and summer, 2-3 months more sunny days per year. Anyways, if weather really mattered in college football either SC or UCLA would play the 100x defending champion SDSU Aztecs.
In regards to Norman being in the middle of nowhere... it is if you can't recruit your state and Dallas. But they do. Drive time from Dallas to OKC isn't much different than going from ND to Indy. I bet at least 50% of OU's roster lives within a 3 hour drive.
Anyways, if weather really mattered in college football either SC or UCLA would play the 100x defending champion Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

BTW Pete Sampson says ND is doing its due diligence on Gervin. Meaning talking to teachers, guidance counselors, etc. determining if he's a good fit. Part of the new plan to make sure the guys they bring in are great fits for being successful at ND.

Pretty sure everyone does that, maybe extra due diligence would be better phrasing by Petey. That’s how that Last Chance U lady makes a living!

Due diligence?
Everyone?
Like Art Briles? Baylor? "A good fit" sounds like a term for a Baylor lawsuit?
Auburn talking to teachers? If he can block print his name, he gets a jersey.
Oh, about Last Chance U lady, she flew the coop ... last February.
She's got a new career as Catering Sales and Marketing Director for Newk's in Birmingham, AL. ALL five locations. "Hi, would you like some soup with your salad?

You really are gunning for me aren’t you lol.
That’s why I said EXTRA. The way the post/Sampson presented it, makes it sound like what ND is doing is a rare or new thing. Everyone does it. ND is probably doing it EXTRA.
Using extremes is always a really could strategy when arguing with someone. Keep doing it.

So in shorter words, you could say most do it, but ND does it EXTRA of other schools.due diligence, most, I was told, do the minimum.
Sorry but there’s zero chance I read that whole post lol
You’re the only poster that has responded negatively to my posts since I logged back on a week ago. Both not only disagreeing with me, which I invite anyone to, but also throwing in an unnecessary “clever” joke. So yeah I’ll respond personally.

What I said in the first place....
You should read the whole thing. BGIF provides quality content, which you demonstrate is a rarity.
Today on...

Wiltfong said that at one point or another, every team in his top group has been considered a leader with Kalon. It would be pretty hilarious if it ended up being MSU after ND beat the living crap out of them on national television.

Why? Maybe he might see it as quicker road to playing time. Wouldn't be the the first by far to commit to a team that lost on visit.
