I just dont see it :-/ ..... Good player, but in comparison to what we have now, i don't see him being that caliber at all. Am i missing something? (hope I am!)

I'm with you, and I've been with you. He's great, I'd love to have him, but he's not elite imo.

he is the type of back that long prefers...bigger and can move...he doesn't prefer the smaller faster backs at least according to an article i had previously read on him

Which is fine, but I don't see how he's better than Tony Jones from the eye test.

is anyone saying he is?

No, they are not. I just think we are saying it doesn't appear he is the quality of RB that ND needs at this point. Whether Long likes bigger backs over smaller quicker backs or not. It is possible to be both, and we actually have 2 (maybe 3 depending on how see Dexter's size) on the roster right now.

Not meaning to be a hater by any means, sorry if it seems that way. Just not seeing the talent level in this particular player. (AGAIN, hope im wrong)

All lower rated HS prospects. They did ok. You could add Cam McDaniels if you wanted.

Tony Jones was lower rated too. Everyone expects him to set the world on fire.

At a .9100ish, no one is calling him elite, just very good. His 230 lb pre-Balis body is pretty exciting for me with his level of athleticism. I think his current R&R's are correct but he might end up a 240-245 lb back with plus athleticism for that size. Factor that in and he might be undervalued.

I have a strange feeling that Stepp will be legit. One of the better backs in last 15 years, IMO. A bit of a stretch but its what I'm feeling.

I wasnt speaking about rating at all. Just what the ol eyes see in all of his video. Just my opinion though.

I get it but the same eyes that see him as a .9100 saw those other guys as .8900 - .9000 borderline 4 stars.

I'm not saying you're crazy but I feel he's properly evaluated.

We shall see... I hope you're right about how he progresses with proper training and coaching though!

Cathedral falls to 0-3 after losing to Ohio's #1 team, Pickerington Central 25-20.

Markese had 1 TD.

Voted**. Looks like he's going to need some help from IE to pull this one out. Thomas Booker is also on this list.

we did this last year for Julian Love and he got beat by some scrub who ended up going to Iowa or somewhere like that wasn't it?

BC, and I'm not convinced that there wasn't a bot voting for that guy. I was on at 5 AM EST and the BC commit's votes would go up by 1 every few seconds.

I'm done voting in these kind of contests. They are just trying to drive hits to the website and the guy that usually ends up getting voted in is usually from some real tight community of about 30,0000 from Nebraska or Iowa where everyone in town decides it is their new life focus to get the hometown boy voted in.

That Boyd Dietzen guys photo......

How bout it. All he needs is the shadow profile pic behind him and a mullet.

he can't get any more injury prone tbh..

How bout it #2. From what I can gather from Maxpreps.

He got hurt in Game 4 vs Bishop Chatard
Game 5 vs Cincy St X - DNP
Game 6 vs Jeffersonville he gets on carry for a 3 yd TD
Game 7 vs Ryle KY - DNP

Hopefully it's just bad luck.

I usually do it once to see who is up for it. Seeing Marquis Spike vs Kyler Gordon makes me think UA needs to hire some people to seed their brackets. That's the vote in equivalent of having UK vs KU in the first round of March Madness. The next two screens have Solomon Enis and Michael Wilson. They are all in the "West Regional" so they will have to eliminate each other. I'm not sure the US Army Game has a better WR line up than that... and UA is making them eliminate each other. Yikes.

Not mentioned playing in the 38-10 loss to Cleveland St Edward's.

His back up Chon'Dre Cissel took over the team lead in rushing after going for 150 yds in the game... his second straight 150+ yd game.
