Hopefully McGrone isnt the next Kirkland Jr.

In hindsight he would have been a much better take that Josh Barajas.

Exactly what I'm talking about.

I hope McGrone balls out in every game but two. He's a quality kid and I will forever remember 12 hours after he blew out his knee, he packed his leg in ice and made the trip to ND for his scheduled unofficial visit for the Stanford game. Had he not tore his ACL, he most likely would have gotten his offer and would have committed to ND at some point.

If every kid who went to UM was McGrone's caliber, Michigan would live up to the brand they try to sell to college football about their student athletes being mirrors of their general student body.

I wish nothing but the best for Cam and his family and i hope he is able to maximize the education you can get at Michigan if you seek it out. With a strong, professional family and a 3.85 GPA, I bet he does.

Obviously I'd take all 3 and I like McGrone quite a bit. I wouldn't have minded if they offered and accepted his commitment pre-injury, lol. But if it's between Simon and McGrone, I choose Simon, fairly easily. Lamb and McGrone is probably a wash. Lamb's size and coverage ability for that size is truly impressive and something needed on this roster. However, the speed and quickness of McGrone is as well. Either way, getting Simon and Lamb is a HUGE win for the staff, getting 2 of the 3 has to be considered a victory.
Simon is 5 Star Rover prospect. He might have a 4 star rating but there isnt a better player or fit for what ND needs at Rover in this class. I just think the kid is going to be a superstar.

I hate that ND is going to miss on McGrone but you really can't blame the staff on making sure the knee was fine.

That's not what happened. He simply chose Michigan and that's ok. Unless I missed something? They didn't make sure Josh Adams knee was okay? Thank God.

Some believe that if we offered earlier he would already be committed. And once he hurt the knee, we waited until we saw him in action. Taking all that into account, we still offered before UM and we recruited him much longer than they did. Like you said, he just likes UM better, at this time.

I was said what I said in response to people who said if ND offered earlier that he would've already committed to ND.

I think you completely misunderstood what I was saying and other than I hate missing out on him. I was never suggesting that McGrone isn't coming to ND because he never got the early offer, what I was doing was defending the staff about taking there time to see if knee was alright. Because of those people who believe the early offer would have committed then before he would've got an offer from UM.

As for Josh Adams thats not true. Adams missed his junior season to his knee injury and ND didn't have an offer to him until they saw that he was almost completely recovered.

The staff isn't doing shit this summer.

They only have 15 kids committed so far. They are only in the Top 10 recruiting class rankings...not Top 5, not #1.

They only have 5 defensive players committed that are ranked in the Top 200 on Scout when they signed 3 in the past two cycles combined (II).

They don't have any CB's or stud DE's committed by now, that means in the next 7 months they won't get any.

I'm done with this staff...just done.

1. Who said what?

2. He committed June before his senior year but held the offer well before that. Here's a little video reminder for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbS4rjUD6-E . That was on March 18th when he already held the offer and was talking about the surgery and his recovery process and ND was still actively recruiting him.

Rebuttal?

I'm not taking the time to find who said what, the point was like I said before defending the staff for those that are blaming that he's been leaning to UM.

I don't need watch a video, I remember all this. He missed his junior season had surgery and when they realized he was going to be fine and they offered.

Your memory is off. If you refuse to be corrected after I spent the time searching for concrete evidence to the contrary, then I look at you with amusement and disdain and say...

247 moved him all the way up to #31 OA. (#4 OLB)

If he stays there through the final update, he'll be a 5 Star.

Nailed this one. #IhateIndy

*Won't be sad if he signs with ND... Just putting that out there since they are still chasing LB's.

They have him ahead of Jack Lamb, who isn't even in their top 100. Their opinion on LB's in the 2018 class is invalid until they correct this.

He isn't tall enough.

Taller than Nyles Morgan, much faster. Will play next year at 225-230. Devin Bush showed up to Michigan at 5-11/220. Led the team in tackles as a RS Soph at 232 lbs. McGrone will be a stat machine and eventually play @ 240lbs.

this.

Bush Jr. is a bad ass LB. McGrone is going to play the same position and he's taller and just as fast if not faster than Bush.

McGrone checked in at one of those Opening events at 6'1 and change and 214 pounds. Also ripped off a laser timed 4.6 in the 40. His closing speed jumps out on his tape.

I will never question anything Don Brown does on defense. Players he targets on the trail, his scheme, play-calling. That guy is the best DC I have ever seen at Michigan. He's the only thing keeping Harbaugh afloat. Because his defenses have been downright filthy in 2016 and 2017 and Harbaugh's offenses and QB play have been pure unadulterated garbage.

I'm going w Boone being facetious. The old Diaco standard of he isn't tall enough to recruit.

Bush was only a true sophomore in 2017. He can't go pro.

At a true 5'10.5, 230 pounds, I don't know if he's a major NFL prospect who would go in the 1st round, so he might just stay all 4 years. Hard to say what he does.

You're welcome.

He's only in AA because I'm currently not the Director of Recruiting for Our Lady.

You're looking banable today TH.
