His teammate from IMG just committed there last week, and they said they wanted to play together in college. I think it has been trending FSU for some time now.

Well if it was, then I'm not sure why the entire 247 CB was all in on Nebraska. All these CB's are changes from Nebraska to FSU.

The only one I ever really pay attention to is Wiltfong. He made some comments a month or two back that he was feeling FSU is where Griffith would end up. I think it was a camp at FSU where all the noise started.

Incidentally, was at a bachelor party this past weekend with one of Griffith's former teachers at Mount Carmel. He was very blunt in saying that he was amazed that Notre Dame was considering the kid to begin with, and that his academics were not even remotely up to snuff. I asked him why he lasted as long as he did at Mount Carmel, and got a knowing look.

Hate to slam a kid after he passed on us, but this is like the only time in my life I've had insider info and I'll be damned if I pass it up.

EDIT: Also remember this gem: "Griffith Impressed With Academics at Nebraska." Says it all really; Alabama is higher ranked.

He keeps saying that he wants to play for national championships and I guess we'll have to show him that he can do that at ND. Obviously continuing to win will be important. Obviously Nebraska looks like it could become a dumpster fire if Big 10 play doesn't go there way. And OSU is always looming.

This would be incredibly surprising given that on his last visit sources reported him seeming disinterested and not engaging with other commits.

I expect his final two to change more than one more time through this recruiting process. One of Griffith/Gervin would be nice but they seem to be two of the more "flaky" prospects that ND is in on.

Per Loy this is our mystery DB recruit. We are back in play with him. Visiting with the staff over Thanksgiving holidays. He and his family are impressed with the ND turnaround. I guess winning does help. LOL
