Gatorade and USA Today Idaho Player of the Year. Same high school as Tristen Hoge. Fantastic Tape. Has followed the entire ND coaching and recruiting staffs. Should have been offered long ago. One old CB to Oregon from Demetric Warren.

We need big DT's that can clog up the middle. Makes playing defense so much easier for everyone.

Sucks we are only going to take probally 1 more DT this class and that will go to Mustipher.

That's a big "if" with Mustipher. Not sure why people think he is a sure thing. I could totally see him going elsewhere.

Guess they prefer Franklin and possibly Mustipher over him. That's my guess.

But they made 9-12 interior lineman offers depending on how many SDE's you think will slide inside. Plus I'll bet the farm they will need a minimum of 4 DT's this cycle because of coming transfer / ineligibility.

That doesn't sound good.....

Is it really a top 8 if you're "still accepting offers from other schools"?

It's 15 years ago. You're sitting at your favorite hunting ground having a beer. You've formulated a Top 8 hit list for the evening. Then, the hottest chick you've ever seen walks in after said list is formulated. She sits down next to you and starts giving you the buying signs. She doesn't make your list?

Yea, what's hard to understand about that?

Those are the schools he's focused on right now, but he is admitting that things can always change.

Just the opposite. There are guys that will NEVER contribute at ND but they could fit in perfectly at Northwestern, Vandy, Duke, Wake, Rice, Tulane, Illinois. They still get a great education while they open up spots for DT's that are being chosen based on the skill sets Elko prefers.

How would a student who flunked out of ND get accepted at another high education school.

Depends on what you consider flunking out of ND is. Depends if a player is currently ineligible at ND like Alize was last year and he decides to transfer to Vandy or Illinois who'd take him with a 2.0? Flunked out and being ineligible are obviously two different things.

But that wasn't the entire point of my OP. I said transfer and ineligibility. I've only heard of one player struggling with books. Obviously there are more struggling to find their place in the rotation and the guys coming in behind them can play.

Either way, 5Ys aside, who was the last outbound transfer who wound up at a top-tier academic school? Most seem to land either in the MAC or Home State U. I've got to think the graduation requirements at a Northwestern or Vandy are just as transfer-unfriendly as they are at Notre Dame.

Not really. They make it pretty easy for athletes.

Konrad Reuland went to Stanford. Depending on your opinion of UCLA, Joseph Fauria.

CB to OSU.

That makes #1 and #2 DT's in 2018 to Columbus.

This class' APR might never be beaten by anyone but Kentucky Basketball

Wouldn't trade either of them for Jay Ade. Truth.
