1st Team All State on the 4A (top division) state championship team that beat Oliver Martin's HS in the title game.

Reports a 3.9 gpa to go along with 12 TFL's, 8 Sks, a Pick 6 INT. and a 4.8 / 40.

Watched his film. Really like his frame. Great burst off the line. Gets around the edge well with some moves and shoots gaps inside well. Look legit 6'4-6'5. Really strong hands and good tackler. Needs to add bulk and strength to help his rush or he'll get eaten up by blocks. One to keep an eye on.

Definitely needs an early offer. I get the impression that Elko will be much more active in getting in on the right players earlier, than our last 2 DC's. I don't think we'll be having the same discussions around here about, how has such and such not got an offer, if they truly deserve one. However, first, he has to finish up the 2017 class.

Yessir. I'm kinda getting that feeling as well. BVG was sooo frustrating regarding recruiting. If we want to be a playoff calibre team we MIST recruit better starting with the DL. We have a great foundation set so far for '18 but we have to get on the DL hard core RIGHT NOW. Hopefully Daelin, Okaara, Kareem, Ewell pan out but we really have to keep getting after it on the DL because we're pretty good everywhere else.

Hmmm. 247's #4 WDE. ND was his dream school growing up. I hope ND eventually offers him and he has the grades and commits. We may end up with a damned good D haul in '18.

In my completely unqualified opinion... this is the only thing that makes sense. Position of need, RKG, skilled player AND he wants an Irish offer.

I'm curious, because we have two camps when it comes to an "Irish offer". Those that just want to be able to say they received an offer but have no intentions on going to ND and those that really want an offer.

Usually the kids in the first camp are the ones who have a ton of offers and just want another. If it was an ego thing, I'd expect him to name Ohio State, etc.

Throw in his great GPA, and I think his interest is legit.

Pretty sure we've discussed Andres Fox here, he just doesn't have a profile. He probably needs one. I don't know if Brenton Cox has been discussed here but it's not like the guy is UTR. I just don't see him as a fit for ND now... unless he's Derrik Allen's cousin or something along those lines. He's had the SEC / OSU offers for 9 months.

But you'll never sign em unless ya offer em. 100% fact.
