Per fonger, ND is in the drivers seat but a long way to go here. So probably exercise a little restraint for now. OSU seems to be our biggest competition.
So that's why HH had Lugg at #2 RG, he knew NPF was coming. it all makes sense now.
Hope he's an EE, he needs all the B&B he can get asap to get up to size. Reminds me of Austin Jackson from here in AZ. He's 40 lbs from where he needs to be.
Watch the first play of this tape. The single greatest block you'll ever see. I thought rodeo clowns were gonna have to save him.

does anyone have a clear understanding on this crystal ball thing?
Where do guys like Wiltfong and Loy come up with enough info to make these calls? from the team? From the player? from the players Coach?
It seems strange that the kid has decided without committing. At this stage decommitting is no problem...or we wouldn't have Wimbush or D Hayes.....

Little disappointed with that first play. Would like to have seen him drive that kid all the way to parking lot.![]()
That DE probably's received 20 FCS offers this week for not getting pancaked in bounds.

Most of those players in the Trey Smith Video look like grade 11's who barely weigh 180 lbs.
TBH that film doesn't look that impressive when you are literally twice as big as your opponent. Trey will never have that type of size and strength advantage ever again, even if he chose to play Div, III ball. instead of the sec, where he will be getting abused some games as a frosh
Well if his HS film didn't impress you, watch his college film. I watched one Tennessee game and he was assaulting people. He's a monster.

This. I've seen 10 minutes total of 3-4 games and he was doing work, getting mentioned a couple of times by the announcers. Everybody wanted him as an OT and it was clear to me he was going to be a great OG. If HH could have landed him, I wonder if he would have sat on him for a year or if he would have started him from day 1 and kicked Bars back outside? He's the kind of guy you'd lay a $100 on if they did a futures play for the HOF.
At the beginning of the year, the talk was that Smith will play T, but they could get him on field at G this year.
Not sure if that's changed (or will with a staff shakeup), but the idea was for G to simply be a starting point this season.
11W's Lind CB'd NPF to Florida.

As we reported earlier this week, offensive line coach Harry Hiestand is expected at Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep high school to see five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere. That was the plan as of Tuesday, according to head coach Dominic Ciao. The 6-6, 272-pounder is the top target for Notre Dame on the offensive side of the ball and one the Irish are looking to make a big impression on in the coming weeks. Petit-Frere, the nation’s No. 10 overall player in the 2018 class per 247Sports, continues to look at Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida and Alabama.
UF will make a homerun hire that will seal the deal for NPF to Gainesville.
Does Dan Mullen qualify?
