No doubt and the only reason I didn't mention them as well as Robert Hainsey is that this is Petit-Frere thread and didn't want it to get to long or way off topic.

That said ND's last 2 OL classes have been special IMO with plenty of studs or guys who could develop into studs.

Wouldn't this work both ways. He visited ND and didn't visit Ann Arbor on the same trip.

I don't think that's fair, nor do I think its uncommon. People have limited time and if youre gonna go visit a school, give them your full attention. I don't see weird about them not adding an additional 6 hours roundtrip to their visit.

I doubt he drove-- its over 17 hours. So assuming he flew, I don't see why we assume he'd have time to drive 3 hours to South Bend just to check in.

That's fair. But just so we're clear. You think that it's fishy if a recruit and their parents don't do the following if they are remotely close to Notre Dame.

- Extend their stay and miss more work.
- Rent a car
- Drive 3 hours
- Pay for a ticket from South Bend or drive four hours back to Detroit (UM sure as hell ain't paying for their flight out of South Bend).
- Pay for their hotel, food, gas, etc (assuming it's not an official visit)


I guess I just don't see that as reasonable. Especially considering the fact that he's already been here and there is nothing going on at Notre Dame this weekend.

This is where I'm at. Concerned that he visited Michigan, but not concerned that he didn't make arrangements to also visit ND.

Correct, I don't think this means ND is out, but it does mean UM is in. Which is adding another school to the mix. Not a good thing, but again, doesn't mean we are out. Also, though people got excited early on about Frere and ND early, he's been pretty consistent in saying he wanted to take visits and then OV's, so this shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

Long way to go and Petit-Frere keeps pretty quiet in regards to recruiting per all the guys at ISD. Everyone thinks they are in a good position here, but know one really knows how it will shake out because he is pretty close vest.
