Chris Brown was one of the faster players, back in the day, right?

Yes. Chris was a legit track guy. He was very impressive at Hanahan HS in track.
So is Troy Pride Jr currently for ND IIRC.

Nice pickup.

Balis will need to work on explosiveness from zero to 20 yards. This kid has elite top speed, but like most track sprinters, it takes him about 50 meters to hit that top speed.

Most track kids are elastic athletes. Force dominant kids are better in 10’s and 20’s. A college weight room will work wonders.

Don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

We never max out we have plenty of use for him.

Combo of Herm Edwards getting hired at Arizona State (his second finalist) and Notre Dame having a good chance with Lenny I think.

I just wonder if he was worried about getting lost in the shuffle with Austin, Boykin, Lenzy and possibly Keys/St. Brown coming in.

No way ND let him know they cooled on him. ASU, UCLA, Oregon and Lenzy are all things that happened. One of them or a combination of them made him think again, not ND.

I was thinking this might happen with Wilkins before Porter.

He will accomplish more athletically elsewhere as he would have have cheeks on the pine for 4 years. Probably a good candidate for a DII school.

Honestly, I didn't even know he ever committed to us in the first place. I pulled this thread up and was completely confused at first. There are other great guys out there, so I am totally ok with this. LOL! I have been just busy as hell lately and just don't check in as much.

Same here. My wife mentioned some guy named Porter decommitted and for the life of me I couldn't even place him in my mind as to what position he plays or where he's from. I had to log on here to figure out who he was. All I can say is, Oh well! Just opens another spot for a much better player (and obviously better person ... decommit with an email, GESH what a real tool!)

So the staff had no idea but didn't seem to mind?

I'm interested to see how recruiting ends.

We have two more scholarships than we did with Stepp and Porter out, potentially losing some to draft.

We're looking for LBs but I haven't seen any clear likely targets. Who is ND realistically targeting?

We need a speed wr (two wr overall??). Are we all in on Lenzy? Who else? (Dont say ASB) Joe Wilkins potential position change?

Two corners and a swing DB? I'll use Lucky's list: Irvin, Bracy, Boykin, Brown, Griffith. Someone mentioned this is fluid. There was quite a bit of chatter Boykin flipped, still feel this way? Bracy locked up? A lot of hope hinging on Griffith. Is this in the bag? Brown cancelled his visit so off the list? Irvin too? Can we close the deal with Gordon this weekend? I'd the all 4!!! (Bracy, Boykin, Griffith, and Gordon)

Langham our only DE prospect? Any I'm missing? (I'm not counting Oweh)

This class could be one of Kelly's best or just end up good.

It's one of Kelly's best already. I wouldn't trade this year's Top 7 (assuming Griffith joins) for any of the Kelly era.

With the luxury of hindsight, 2013 is tough to beat but McG and Fuller (among others) weren't headliners.

Top end talent absolutely, but can still get better.I was just talking total package hitting all the positions on both sides of the ball.

ASB!!

How would you propose he decomit? A hand drafted letter on home made parchment delivered via horse and carriage and read aloud in Kelly’s office? The tone of your post amounts to the flat head calling the phillips head a screwdriver.

Good luck to the kid.
