I was at that game i believe. It was at GT. He was very good.

Yes he was, but that was the same game where "Dukes" had the best hit of his career

I was there too, if I'm not mistaken Calvin didn't have a catch in the 2nd half. I could be wrong, but I'm like 80% sure we shut him down in the 2nd half.

Two recent CB's rolled in for USC. Alex Geitman and Greg Biggins.

Loy posted just awhile ago that he's been told USC is now genuinely worried about Amon to ND and ND is feeling cautiously optimistic. Don't you love recruiting?

I'll take Biggins over Loy on West coast kids.

I would agree. Just found it interesting that Loy would put that out there after Biggins CB.

That's the exact shit that makes me believe nothing Loy says. Best left coast recruiting analyst drops a CB for USC, and he comes out with some bs to keep the clicks coming.

It was a season opener if memory serves... my take was that was the first real show of cracks in the CW armor. After 2005 we all expected things to get even better and the showing that night was just eh...

I still believe that ND is in it....no Italics.

Would've been nice for BW to get ESB the ball more.

Correct. Opening game on the road ranked #2. It was a slog. 14-10 win.

I would love to add him to the class but with our passing game at best below average it's gonna be a tough sell.

Do you think he might be waiting to see if Sam Darnell is going to the NFL or not...before he makes his decision?

Probably not because his high school QB is already going to USC so they already have a good relationship.

I’m guessing whatever chance we had of getting him, went out the window when his brother got wrecked due to another high throw by Wimbush.

I couldn't imagine not picking a college because of something like that but who knows? Recruiting coverage has made a lot of these kids, and parents, extra flaky.

The injury won't hurt our chances at all.

However the inconsistent passing game yes that will.

The inconsistent passing caused the injury. I'm with ab2, on this. If I were a top receiver, I would scratch ND from my list for two reasons:

1. The offense is run dominant (I can go to a high-flying offense to catch more and block less)
2. The QB doesn't pass well (either he won't get the ball to me, or he's going to leave me in very vulnerable spots)

I say ND is still in it because of Brian Polian.

We are a running football team in 2017, what does 2018 bring? I don't know, but I do know that we are losing 2 damn good offensive lineman. We could even lose Josh Adams I he decides to opt for the NFL. The passing game has to evolve.

ND has not had a wide receiver step up this year to be the elite leader of the group like year's past.

I remain optimistic in ASB to ND!

Exactly. EQ started the season very passive IRT fighting for balls. Amon-Ra should be paying attention to the future QB...Jurkovec. Also, some elite WR still want to play for a NC. Julio Jones & Amari Cooper didn’t mind playing in a rush first offense...and it didn’t hurt their draft status.

I'm sorry Josh Adams is a great back but that Oline makes everything go. Look at what Deion McIntosh is able to do with this Oline. If we gave Dexter more carries I think it wouldn't have worn josh out. I get he's banged up right now and isn't the same back and I get dex was banged up but why he isn't 10 carries a game baffles me. Idk if he got caught texting Kellys daughter or what but he's healthy enough to be a gunner? Also Tony jones doesn't look like he's running a flat 4.9 anymore. He's maybe the most hyped up guy I've ever heard going into the season and just looks like another guy. I'll never believe anything anymore about how "great" these guys look ever again until the season starts. I believe a lot of it was to generate clicks

In that very same game Kevin Stepherson went for 5 rec. 103 yds. and 2 TD's. I guess it just depends on how you look at it.
