.9844 4* Isaac Taylor-Stuart
.9837 4* Jaiden Woodbey (Ohio St Commit)
.9823 4* Olaijah Griffin (UCLA Commit)
.9572 4* Talanoa Hufanga
.9498 4* Aashari Crosswell
.9455 4* Chase Williams
.9348 4* Julius Irvin
.9005 4* Marcus Johnson

USC has 13 scholarship guys in their secondary next season on scholarship. Add in Marcus Johnson and they have 14. They also are loaded with talented prospects. I listed the guys above they are still going relatively hard or really hard after and I think they lead for Isaac Taylor-Stuart and Chase Williams, but not sure about the rest. I have a feeling ND has to be showing this talent and numbers crunch. I think he has an easier road to early PT at ND. Plus, USC is tacky and I hate them.

Sounds like UW is in the driver seat with ND and USC trailing, in that order. USC has taken a slow play approach to his recruitment and it sounds like that might be wearing thin with the family.

Staff needs to create some promo material featuring him as the Dr. J. of FB.

You kids may need to look him up.

The SC magic won't work on Dad. He's from the SE and went to KU/KSU (without looking) and was a star for the Rams when they were the still the #1 team in town.

Washington has a ton of young talent too. Irvin wants to play early but he's interested in 3 schools with a lot of young CB talent.

Good luck to him.

So this one has gotten quite interesting. When everyone was thinking USC, 247 changed their narrative to UW/ND. The night after USC and ND go in-home, he decides to sign early and decide soon, without UW getting another in-home, potentially. Now UW feels like they are running 3rd, but was it USC or ND that made the difference? ND sites are seemingly much more confident than they were a few days ago. However, I wonder if USC gave him the greenlight, but he had to sign now.

Truly interesting few days, and will be one of the more interesting to follow leading up to Dec. 20th.

Yeah, I think Loy had a recap of remaining recruits and where his crystal ball was. For Irvin, I think he showed his crystal ball as USC, but with a parenthesis (likely to change). Of course he wasn't tipping off where he was likely to change it to.

Would ND take both Irvin and Gordon? That would be a big haul for the back end of the D this year.

Staff is in a zone right now. Raining 3's and going yard all over the place.

It's ND.

It is interesting. Not that he needs to but he never took an OV to USC unless he is picking them and will still OV in January as a commit. And is he a definite take for USC? They have quite the flux at DB recruiting.

I'll probably lose my shit if we land Irvin and Gordon.

The work ethic by Elko, Lea, Lyght, Elston, etc. should not be overlooked. We are not being out worked by anybody, at least for guys they want. In fact, seems like the sole reason we are in the position we are with some of these prospects is due to how hard we are working.

As far as the late surge on DB recruiting, how much did it help having Love named 2nd team AA, showing the recruits that Lyght can develop you?

will or would

If we miss on either of Irvin or Gordon, should know in the next week. Then we'll turn up the heat on Boykin. The Boykin recruitment is working to ND's favor right now. Boykin isn't ready to make a decision and ND would like to give Gordon and Irving the first opportunity to say yes. Clearly Irvin is trying to get a spot in someone's class.

A Utah analyst just put in a CB for USC.

I will remind everyone (and myself as I've gotten carried away with NDComittapalooza) that the following analysts think he's going to SC.

Biggins
Huffman
Angulo
Wiltfong
Loy
Sinclair

He's 11/11 to SC.

It I had to bet money, USC gave him an ultimatum for his spot, and he had to commit and sign for the ESP. But, as you said before, it does seem odd that the Irvin's are totally ok with being a backup pick for most of the cycle.

Loy still thinks UW. As I posted before this is a weird one. Some feel like USC hasn’t done enough to get him, and UW wins out. Some feel that either USC or ND changed his mind on committing for the ESP. Most common theory there is USC gave him the green light.

The constant is ND. But we are always in second. With that said, his father has given some priceless quotes about ND’s recruiting efforts.
