I actually like trey smith and willis a bit more than serell. All 3 look like year 2 starters though. I would love to have any of those 3 but if pressed, I am taking Smith..jmho...

Trey would be reloading at LG when Q starts playing on Sundays

I'm talking tackle only. Serell's the only guy I can see doing that. I like Smith but i don't see him giving up a LT future to join ND's depth chart battle royale. Wills I LOVE at guard but he is another one that is going to play LT at a lot of schools that are offering him, does he want to give that up?

No one's gonna ask Foster to slide over from tackle unless Joe Thomas retires and is granted an extra year of eligibility.

I just want to point out that many people didn't see Jimmy Bryne competing for spots because of how he looked physically, or on film in comparison with his classmates, but last I heard, he's running 2nd team LT and he wasn't the guy who got moved to the other side of the ball.

In Hiestand We Trust.

I thnk Lugg looks more like McG 2.0. Beach's highlights are okay...

From a physical stature standpoint, I'm gonna say Beach. When McGlinchey came in he was just a very large human, now he looks like he belongs with the Navy SEALS. If Beach ends up in South Bend, I think he'll be in a very similar position, both physically and on the depth chart, as McGlinchey

Beach may be as big as McGlinchey but he's not the same athlete. He's a waist bender

I have not seen Mcglinchey in person, but seeing Beach and then pics of Mike, I think Mike is much bigger.

could be totally wrong.

eventually Beach with a college workout and diet plan could look like him.

Would we take both Beach and Hainsey? If not, I would prefer Hainsey.

Scout: Badgers Host In-State OT Beach Again

Wisconsin hosted the top junior in their home-state, Port Washington offensive tackle Tyler Beach today and told him he's a key part of their class.

Wisconsin received two commitments on Thursday, one from in-state tight end Jake Ferguson.

That gave the Badgers four in-state commitments and they are hoping to make it five with offensive tackle Tyler Beach, who visited on Thursday and who they are battling programs like Michigan, Notre Dame and others for.

"The practice was set with great weather and it was a hard hitting practice with lots of hitting," Beach said.

He added, "The coaches were saying I'm the last piece to their in state puzzle."

After recently visiting Michigan and Notre Dame, Beach says, "The more schools I visit the easier my decision becomes."

He says his top list are the schools he is visiting. That will include two more schools upcoming before a commitment is made.

"I plan on visiting Northwestern April 8th and 9th, and Michigan State April16th, I plan on making a decision after the Michigan State visit."

big pick-up for Wisconsin. Kid has an offer list that looks better than a typical 3*. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a bump in the rankings as this thing progresses, it's still pretty early.

Wisconsin needs to keep kids like this home. Makes the conference stronger when Wisconsin is operating at a high level.

I don't see Hainsey coming here, not unless he visits again. MSU leads

Do you have a reason, other than the fact that it seems MSU leads, that makes you doubt we can get him? Because he certainly seems like a "ND type guy" in his interviews, has us in his top group, has great things to say about Harry and our staff seems to be pushing hard.

It seems way too early to give up on a kid just because somebody else leads in April.

I wouldn't totally say they are keeping him home. From what I've read and heard, he moved to Wisconsin from the West, so it's not a typical cheesehead that has dreamt of playing for the Badgers.

Knowing the Harry operates I'm not concerned in the slightest

Not surprising comment coming from a huge homer.

Notre Dame had a chance to get this kid and they didn't. He isn't Foster Sarell or Trey Smith, but Hiestand doesn't offer kids he doesn't think can play at Notre Dame. It's a loss.

Random attack. It makes you a homer because you're not worried when a 3* OL prospect from Wisconsin decides to stay in-state and play for a school that is known for their OL? Guess I'm a homer as well.

He didn't say it wasn't a loss, he said he wasn't concerned because HH has proven that he can recruit the OL better than anyone else in the country. With multiple big names visiting this summer, there's no need for panic.

GB might be the least homerish(?) of us all. He freaking likes the Trojans.
