I'm at the point that he needs to see the field next year. He won't see the field next year sitting behind Love, Pride, Vaughn, Crawford and Watkins. But would probably see the field at WR.

I get that. I'm alway super excited to see freshman but I think with our X position it'd probably be best to keep Steph starting and get McKinley snaps to get him going. I hear you though. He's talented and it'd be good to see what he can do.

Any wagers that he eventually flips to the other side of the ball from where he starts his career? lol

Wouldn't put too much stock in that. ESPN gives UA All Americans very, very generous rankings.

Sound's like there's even more over ranked DB's like Delpit & Ford trying to check him... and failing.

Adoree Adebo. It's got a ring.

Let players play when and where they make plays.

Crusader, thanks for posting his Hudl film. He's dynamite. Even better tackler than I thought and I REALLY like him on jet sweeps. On D, I'd say HS like an even more athletic Daunte Vaughn. Not that I care much about rankings nor do they matter in the end, Adebo should certainly take a jump in rankings. Anyone kno when they update rankings? Is there scheduled times for rankings changes? After the All-Star games?

He could easily play CB, S or WR. Simple answer is put him wherever you need him most.

Just because they are the only guys in recent memory to be successful on both sides of the ball. I think plently of guys are capable of doing so.

Add Myles Jack to that list. Charles Nelson from Oregon switched off from Receiver to Corner back to receiver and Pitt used Jordan Whitehead on offense. (He scored a TD against us last year). MSU also used Donnie Corley as a WR and CB this year too.

So happy to have this kid, my favorite recruit we landed this cycle. Going to be hard for him to maybe see the field with all our young talented DB's but he could make a nice impact as a freshman WR

Just get these versital athletes committed. Sort them out later.

I think it's hard to play kids both ways with any modicum of success. You can't play them too much as you risk wearing them out and then the risk of injury increases. Plus, if you're going to play them both ways, then they have to practice on both sides to learn the plays. To me, it's more of a mental thing and having the ability to quickly flip the switch from one side of the ball to the other and be comfortable.

As of today ND should treat him as an Athlete with the option to end up on either side of the ball. If we land Ellis and Simmons but miss on Martin and another WR, then slot him coming in as a WR. If the opposite plays out...then DB. Love his versatility and future.

i have always liked the idea of recruiting really good athletes then finding a spot for them on the team when they arrive on campus.

I think you are on to something here. But I'm a little confused, what does Simmons and Ellis (LB's) have to do with a potential DB? I think it has more to do with how Elko views Fields, Pinnock, etc. and if we land them versus Martin, Michael Smith, etc.

Dafuq....

I've been complaining for days, weeks that he should be considered an athlete and play WR when he comes in if the numbers are lower at WR than DB.

Yet I get no credit...
