Would love to have this kid.

Morgan, Bilal, Coney, Jamir Jones, Jonathan Jones, Daelin Hayes and Philips would be incredible. BVG would find a way to fuck it up though.

On the bright side Oklahoma is also 1-2 and their defense stinks also.

Oregon lost this past weekend also.

Hope Philips realizes that if he came to Notre Dame at worst he would be a rotational player next year and would have good chance to start.

Sounds like another solid 2nd place finish for the irish.

Maybe they should be called the Silver domes.

Wonder how Caleb Kelly is doing for Oklahoma....

4 tackles in 3 games. 8th most out of OU LB's.

What about Jeffery McCulloch at Texas? 6 tackles which ranks 7th for LB's

What about Ben Davis at Bama? Goose Egg.

McCulloch or Kelly would be battling Coney for #3 in South Bend.

Also, per Anna ND did everything they could but she would never bet against Saban.

Scout: Phillips dives deeper into Notre Dame

The year before though they brought in one 3 star and a possible future D-end (Jamir Jones). 4 LB's over two years isnt great.

...and two hybrids that could be OLB's in a snap in Morgan and Perry to add to Barajas and Bilal from '15 who are still have 4 years left. So for the '17 season you have:

Nyles Morgan......... 4star ..... Sr
Greer Martini ......... 3star ..... Sr
Te'von Coney ........ 4star ..... Jr

Josh Barajas ......... 4star ...... RS Jr
Asmar Bilal ........... 4star ...... RS Jr
Jamir Jones ........... 3star ..... Soph
Jonathan Jones ..... 3star ...... Soph or RS Fr
DJ Morgan ............ 3star ...... Soph or RS Fr
or
Spencer Perry ....... 3star ...... Soph or RS Fr ..... At least one will be an OLB
Drew White .......... 3star ...... Fr
David Adams ........ 4star ...... Fr
Pete Werner ......... 4star ...... Fr
Jacob Phillips ........ 4star ...... Fr (maybe)
or
Deandre Wilder ..... 3star ...... Fr (maybe)

Nothing wrong with that eligibility spread.

Yeah well he shouldn't break the fucking rules, how about that?

Understand. Seems like he was made an example of though. i posted my thoughts in the banned user thread.

lol bro, you had every right to ban him. I'm just saying you ruined his week and I'm looking forward to his first post back.

He will come back a changed man. no more Mr. Nice Canadian anymore!

I never mess with Canadians. They all seem like nice guys when sober but a bottle of Mist later, they are in full camo sighting you in with a .300 Winchester they got for their 3rd birthday. Fear the Hosers.

Moses commitment to Bama most likely fills the LB spot (Scout, Jake Brown). Him and Phillips OVed this weekend. That leaves OU, ND and Oregon. Announces in 9 days

Without a DC and not knowing the scheme going forward, I cant see him committing to ND.

FWIW, he's always been closest with Elston, so I'm not sure the BVG relationship will have any impact. I think the defense stinking could, but not BVG no longer being here.

As Lucky noted Elston is more important than any DC with him. Plus Kelly knows exactly what scheme they are going to run in the future. His vision for the defense they run will become the next DC's vision. Diaco ran Kelly's defense while BVG ran his defense. Kelly will take back the reins.

Defense stinking shouldn't matter for two reasons. One, it should tell him he has an opportunity for early playing time. Two, OU's defense sucks almost as much as ours. They only give up 30 yards less than we do per game.

Both BGI recruitniks, David McKinney and Corey Bodden, are saying their picks are for Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has 1 true LB commit, Levi Draper and lead for just one more per 247 in Tyler Taylor of (GA) Anthony Hines was leaning that way until this past week when the A&M CB's started rolling in. They also aren't close on anyone for next year and ND has 1-3 depending on what position you think a couple of them end up. Seems like the better fit than coming to SB with a full house at LB this class (and behind) then possibly gets moved to a position he hasn't ever played.
