Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive lineman Jerron Cage finally made it to Ohio State.
Cage had been saying he would visit OSU for the past few months, but it had not worked out until this past weekend when he made it to the Buckeyes’ spring game.
“It was real good, real good,” Cage said. “I liked everything. The atmosphere was great. It was real live. I got to talk to coach (Kerry) Coombs and coach (Larry) Johnson.”
As much as he liked the game and the atmosphere, Cage was even more impressed with the Woody Hayes Facility.
“Walking around the Woody – I really liked it,” he said. “There’s a lot of information there.”
The 6-foot-3 and 260-pound Cage has scholarship offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Illinois. But two other schools remain at the top of his list.
“Ohio State and Michigan State are still my top two,” Cage said. “They are equal. I’m going to Michigan State’s spring game (April 25).”
Cage is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 100 overall 2017 prospect, the No. 8 defensive tackle, and the No. 4 prospect in Ohio.
