Lucky, I'd normally agree, and you have a good point, but at this stage, I'd not be turning anyone away who wants to come.

The problem is, just because we are short on DB's doesn't mean we just load up on more LB's, just because they want to come. That's literally the opposite of what we want to do, and partly why we are in this mess. Its an unbalanced roster. We have 1 spot for a LB and Elko wants to make sure its the right guy. That's just common sense.

Also, have to consider that 2 "traditional" LB classes will be the new norm, more than likely.

Understandable, but he's still got to get them through admissions as well. I'm not disagreeing with anything you're saying, I'm just talking about the timing issue, and then they'd have to want to come up north to play their college ball.

Just having 85 guys on roster doesn't do shit if they aren't right for the system and you further put us behind the 8 ball in years to come when you have log jams of the same kind of players... Even without Brooks, when looking at that list though the eyes of a coach who employs a 2 LB scheme. There is a lot of eligibility there and guys who were quality prospects.

There is plenty of room on this roster. With transfers, grad transfers, medical, and decommits. Getting super thin. BK will have to start pulling in 2 and 3 star or not ranked players just to fill out roster.

I go to a massage / fascial stretch therapist that works with a ton of the athletes at all levels and is very, very involved in the Detroit high school football scene.. he said this kid is a baller and is going to kill it wherever he goes. I trust him. He also said he's likely to come to ND if given the chance. Cannot have a shortage of athletes.. get them here and figure it out.
