You're right. He's a better coach than Urban Meyer.
Both of them hit the open market and NFL teams were hiring. You know who'd be the one getting all the calls?
Hint: Not Urban.
That's twice you've equated success in the NFL to NCAA. I got news for you, Urban Meyer IS a better HC than Bill Walsh in college. If we are talking NFL, then the reverse is true. Nick Saban & Jim Harbaugh are better college coaches than Walsh was, too....based on what history has shown. Could Walsh have been a HoF college HC at the right place at the right time? Sure, but he wasn't.
Urban Meyer hast even hinted at an NFL gig yet you point out the obvious that Harbaugh would be in higher demand. In other news, water is wet. So that'd be like saying if both Bo Schembechler & Jim Harbaugh hit the market in their prime, that Harbaugh would be the one getting all the calls.
You do realize there's a huge difference between coaching in the NFL and the NCAA? Nick Saban is a legend and has surpassed what Bear Bryant did IMO when you consider Saban played a tougher slate en route to his NCs (Bryant rarely played de-segregated schools in his prime & when he did, he lost).
As much as we hate to admit it, Urban Meyer could surpass Saban. He's accomplished more at an earlier stage in his career than Saban. I know it pains Meatchicken fans to admit it, but Meyer is a Hall-of-Fame coach and he's still young. Can Harbaugh get there? Sure he can. What he did at Stanford was remarkable. Now let's see what he does at a football factory. I think he can put together a Hall of Fame career....but I know Meyer & Saban have.
