'17 KY OT Jedrick Wills (Alabama Verbal)

Sorry for bumping his thread without having any new news to offer, I just have a question.
247 ranks him as the #8 OT, but what are the chances that he would even play LT/RT at Notre Dame? I think he'd be a better OG and I do like the idea of him pulling a Terry Jillery and playing d-line. The fact that we could have Foster Sarrell, Jedrick Wills, and Trey Smith in the same class is stupid crazy. Lets see if HH can pull it off. Whether we get all 3 or not, I think I'm going to compare our OL recruiting to Duke basketball recruiting.

I definitely think it depends on who else ends up in this class. HH is not afraid to shift guys around to get the best 5 on the field together.
I'm still holding out hope for the Foster, Trey combination. I think it's a very real possibility moving forward.

Those in the know and have studied his film/camps, what's the deal with this kid physically? 5-star rating by some services, but he looks like he has a lot of bad weight. Is he athletic/conditioned enough to be a player at the P5 level?

Watch the first couple minutes of his Hudl in the OP. He's plenty athletic. Does a lot of pulling and also plays on the D-line (think there was talk of him playing DT at the next level as well) and gets after some scrambling QB's. Outside of that he just mows over some guys as a run blocker. Has the making to be very good in my opinion but that's just based on what I've seen in a few clips and reports here and there. I'd love to have him in this class.

June 8th as BigHead said above. I could see a commit coming from Wills or one of the Top 3 tackles. They all know there's only so many spots if they wanna come to LT......you thought I was going to say it didn't you?

I could't agree more. If anyone would know who the best OL are and who the best fit for ND is, it's Harry. With HH as our OL coach, we will always have a top 5 in the country O line and get top shelf recruits. HH for president!

He looks super happy and he's on campus with beauty weather. I really really hope we get this kid and it sounds like his mom is high on ND. Big T like him with long arms and great skill makes me think he could maybe be the next Ronnie Stanley. Let's get this kid!!

We have two OL commits. Does anyone have a clear idea of how many OL we are planning on taking in '17? seems like we're in the running for a lot of high ranked/calibre guys. I'm wondering if one of the top guys like Willis/Smith/Thomas/Sarell commits, how many more we'll be taking and what the chances are of us landing more than one. I feel good about us landing Willis from his interviews and the fact we have HH.
