db coach for arizona who he has a GREAT relationship w/ and feels most comfortable with is the lead candidate for Nebraska special teams coordinator and deal could already be in place according to a husker site

This is where we screw up all the time. Could have fired BVG last year and hired a good DC. Could have fired Booker after this season and gone after Williams.

I honestly am hoping that if ND does promote Elston to DC that it would be a positive on the recruiting trail to already have him out and about, and not having to create brand new relationships.

No. We don't have a dedicated ST's coach and most all colleges don't. It's a collaborative effort. He's also not a TE'S coach which is what Booker does.

My thoughts....I'm wondering if we have tried to get Graham to visit for the banquet? If it were up to me, I'd keep Booker as the TE coach. Although we haven't been passing to the TE much, there hasn't been any signs of poor TE play at all. Also, look at his recruits? If we fired him then lost Wright and/or Kmet, that would b a huge loss. We do need to hire a new ST coach though. Anyways, I'm really hoping for a finish of Graham, Banks, Simmons, Martin, Calvin and Paschal. It's a long shot that we get all of these guys but man, what a class that would be?!?!

I respectfully disagree about TE coaching. Sometimes poor play is on the players, not always the coaches. $hit, Booker can't be to blame for Weishar dropping the ball. That's ridiculous. And Frank is a sour puss often times. I too hope to see Wright and/or Kmet on the field this year.
