I wonder if this had anything to do with him not being able to really fight threw blocks on bubble screens against Clemson. If it is, it probably also effected his ability to jam receivers at the line, which as a bigger corner might have been a bigger part of his game.

I literally just had this surgery due to multiple dislocations and there was a massive tear. It's not as bad as what some people make it out to be. Had surgery Nov 3rd. Sling for 6 weeks then Physical therapy. Going at it slow and without as much daily help as him and I'll be 100% by March. Doing PT right now twice a week and it's getting a lot better each day. So he probably won't be doing any upper body arm lifts for about 4 months. Start working on the back muscles with bands about 2nd week of PT. So IMO he'll be 100% or as close to 100% as he's gonna be around the beginning of June. Robby Carmody just had surgery for this as well and I think he's on track to be 100% by May. Also, by 100% I mean 100% cleared for contact and heavy lifting with as much range of motion as you're gonna get back. I'd say my rage of motion is about 90% right now.

Yeah. We're just diagnosing over the internet here, so who knows what exactly he's got wrong. But when I had a labrum repair I certainly wasn't in an ice cast for six months. Probably three or four months recovery.

If he was that hurt I’m a little disappointed they didn’t redshirt him. So he could leave as a 5Y when younger guys jump him and we can debate whether the staff should have pity-started him to keep him around.

I wanted HG to get a shot at CB to start 2018, but think that ship has likely sailed. Perhaps Nickel. I think they are fine with the numbers though. They have Pride and Crawford as upperclassmen. You could move one of those around (assuming Crawford is healthy). You have Boykin (13 games) and Bracey (12 games) who should also be solid and improved. DJ Brown is an unknown quantity at this point (only 1 game) and thought he could end up at S. Rutherford and Wallace might be nice surprises and push for PT. Just wish they were EEs.

As long as we don't have injury bugs, we should be fine. Still a little surprised if true (that he's leaving).

Crawford is probably going to get injured again as his history isnt great so I'm not counting on him. Pride Boykin Bracy Brown is what we are working with. Hopefully Rutherford can get a crash course asap.

I think if Vaughn was transferring there would be more smoke to this. The staff members won't report it until it's official, but if there was even a whiff of a transfer looming, there would be posters on those sites asking over and over again.

But I wouldn't be all that surprised if it happened. I'm not sure where Vaughn is at in his rehab, but if he is limited or even misses spring, he could end up missing out on a starting gig, because Boykin, Bracy or Brown, or Griffith could have solidified the spot and now that he's back, he's behind them.

Dad does seem plugged in, but what the hell? Donte had a rough Cotton Bowl but he’s got lots of talent and likely to play a bunch next season, could well start. Or he can sit a year and go down a notch in quality of program. Not sure I get it.

yup. not doubting dad, just scratching my head it's not out if he's been open about it in places. perhaps he's just waiting on something formal from the receiving school. assuming it is gospel, just another reason that reinforces my thoughts about the paid services being a bit lamer the last several years.

whatever the situation, he's one of the guys i wish would stay. i'll quietly hope that the reason it's not out is because BK is working on convincing him to stay. trying to find my tin foil hat...

My contact is someone who was part of the team for four years and graduated last year but still hangs out with all the players. I will see if I can get a screenshot.

FWIW, I checked on all of this today. I'm leaving the rumor up because you have a good track record and I'm very confident you're not just making this up.

But checking with as first hand of a source as you can get, they denied he was transferring. A lot of times people will say one thing and do another though... in fact it's extremely common with things like transfers, and especially with the medical treatment he'll be undergoing this semester.

My apologies to the board. I did post what was said so someone with strong inside contacts could check. Talked with everyone this morning to see if I could get a screenshot and there was nothing to find. I am going to assume it was drunk frustration due to the shoulder injury and things were taken out of context. I would never post to start rumors and gossip. I should have waited until I saw the tweet before posting here. Thanks again Lax for following up. Glad to know it isn't true as I believe he has great potential.
