SAT will change over in 2016 from a 2400 pt scale (includes 800 pt Writing section) back to a 1600 pt scale.
Personal opinion is that I think his brother has a lot to do with his recruitment. Loy says its good for us but I have my reservations.
Extremely bizarre to cancel a Bama OV for their HUGE weekend and NC parade (with friends) to then call them on signing day to set up a visit.
Something is off here and usually that's now where ND wins out.
Or a bunch of recruitniks are putting words in his mouth, but they've claimed that far too often for me to believe that.
Lucky,
I'm a little confused. What are the words that recruitniks are putting in his mouth? That he's leaning toward ND? Agree with you about Alabama---why call them today when he's blown them off a few times already?
We won't know for sure until the 11th.
Everything we've heard in the last couple of weeks points to this kid looking for a reason to go somewhere other than ND. I still don't understand any of it.
but people said if not Stanford its ND, but ND is in good position and setting as pretty as it could be, but Bama and Ga dont stand a chance....
all things i've read in the past day plus.
This kid has had every reason to pick ND, and hasn't. 'nuf said, imo.
The same can be said of Bama and Georgia. So I guess we can rule them out as well.
It looks like if he doesn't get into Stanford, that Savannah State must be in the driver's seat.
if he called bama after all this chaos,,, i would say he would be a huge flight risk anyway after a year at the most.
ESB, Boykin, Claypool, McKinley , CJ, Sterpherson all in the last 2 classes!
Don't get me wrong I would love the #1 athlete in the country, but we have plenty of dynamic guys to get the ball to.
Like many have said here already, those that don't want to be here don't pan out.
Quite a few times throughout his recruitment, they've given interviews and "quotes" to then go back on those "quotes" or statements and say that their words were misinterpreted or misstated.
To me it just seems odd that it happened so many times and since there continues to be so much "misdirection" or an unclear path to a decision that it makes me believe there is more to this than just bad reporting on misstatements and indecision.
This is what I've been trying to say the last couple of days, but you said it more succinctly.
Step 1. Unsub from this thread.
Step 2. Wait for a final announcement.
Trying to stop a kid from pursuing a scholarship at ND or Stanford so he goes to Georgia? Sound parenting.
FIFY
I dont know the whole situation, but there is most likely a solid reason his brother is his legal guardian...
^^^^This.
I also agree with this. He's well worth the risk, but he strikes me as the type that we get, he demolishes faces during spring practice, some rumors come out that he isn't happy, and he transfers somewhere else closer to home. Basically he has a risk of becoming Aaron Lynch.
He could just as easily be Tarean Folston who appeared headed to Auburn on NSD and seems quite happy at ND.
Stop this crap. Seriously.
Already asked for people not to question/attack some parents when we don't really know anything. Nobody knows a damn thing about his mom or how involved she really is.
There is no point in assuming and insulting a recruit or their parent on our very large, very public forum.
Sorry, but I think the judgment of a parent---any parent---who prefers their child (athlete or not) to go to Georgia over a free ride to Stanford or ND invites questioning. Period.

No, they don't.
Think what you want. Probably best to keep it to yourself though.

Um, sorry, but yes they do.
It's not anyone else's place to cast judgement on how a parent raises their children so long as the parent is doing no harm. Notre Dame is not for everyone. Just like Bama isn't for someone like Corey Robinson.
