SAT will change over in 2016 from a 2400 pt scale (includes 800 pt Writing section) back to a 1600 pt scale.

About time. Most schools ignored the writing section anyways. I remember having to take both the old and the new when I was in school because I was caught in the transition period.

Personal opinion is that I think his brother has a lot to do with his recruitment. Loy says its good for us but I have my reservations.

Extremely bizarre to cancel a Bama OV for their HUGE weekend and NC parade (with friends) to then call them on signing day to set up a visit.

Something is off here and usually that's now where ND wins out.

Or a bunch of recruitniks are putting words in his mouth, but they've claimed that far too often for me to believe that.

Lucky,

I'm a little confused. What are the words that recruitniks are putting in his mouth? That he's leaning toward ND? Agree with you about Alabama---why call them today when he's blown them off a few times already?

Quite a few times throughout his recruitment, they've given interviews and "quotes" to then go back on those "quotes" or statements and say that their words were misinterpreted or misstated.

To me it just seems odd that it happened so many times and since there continues to be so much "misdirection" or an unclear path to a decision that it makes me believe there is more to this than just bad reporting on misstatements and indecision.

Everything we've heard in the last couple of weeks points to this kid looking for a reason to go somewhere other than ND. I still don't understand any of it.

but people said if not Stanford its ND, but ND is in good position and setting as pretty as it could be, but Bama and Ga dont stand a chance....

all things i've read in the past day plus.

This kid has had every reason to pick ND, and hasn't. 'nuf said, imo.

The same can be said of Bama and Georgia. So I guess we can rule them out as well.

It looks like if he doesn't get into Stanford, that Savannah State must be in the driver's seat.

Step 1. Unsub from this thread.
Step 2. Wait for a final announcement.

if he called bama after all this chaos,,, i would say he would be a huge flight risk anyway after a year at the most.

ESB, Boykin, Claypool, McKinley , CJ, Sterpherson all in the last 2 classes!

Don't get me wrong I would love the #1 athlete in the country, but we have plenty of dynamic guys to get the ball to.

Like many have said here already, those that don't want to be here don't pan out.

This is what I've been trying to say the last couple of days, but you said it more succinctly.

I also agree with this. He's well worth the risk, but he strikes me as the type that we get, he demolishes faces during spring practice, some rumors come out that he isn't happy, and he transfers somewhere else closer to home. Basically he has a risk of becoming Aaron Lynch.

Trying to stop a kid from pursuing a scholarship at ND or Stanford so he goes to Georgia? Sound parenting.

I dont know the whole situation, but there is most likely a solid reason his brother is his legal guardian...

^^^^This.

Stop this crap. Seriously.

Already asked for people not to question/attack some parents when we don't really know anything. Nobody knows a damn thing about his mom or how involved she really is.

There is no point in assuming and insulting a recruit or their parent on our very large, very public forum.

He could just as easily be Tarean Folston who appeared headed to Auburn on NSD and seems quite happy at ND.

Sorry, but I think the judgment of a parent---any parent---who prefers their child (athlete or not) to go to Georgia over a free ride to Stanford or ND invites questioning. Period.

This kid is definitely worth the risk. He is very talented and wants to weigh his different options. The coaches really want him and have done a great job recruiting him. However if he does not come to ND then there was nothing else the coaches could do. For pete's sake we drove a semi-truck down for him.

Think what you want. Probably best to keep it to yourself though.

Is all the "new" freaking out because he supposedly made to Alabama, which no one knows if it really happened? T Town didn't seem to put too much stock in that. Plus an Alabama recruitnik put in a CB for him to ND today. My goodness, some of you must have been a joy in relationships!!

Why wouldn't he want to see if he could get into Stanford? He has come this far and maybe wants to see that through. Any team will wait for him, so why does he care what people on this board think?? Good luck to him and hope he suits up for ND!!

It's not as black and white as this. You'd think that after having this argument on this board hundreds of times, people would realize that ND isn't the best choice for everyone.

I don't see how I questioned or attacked anyone. And I didn't comment on how involved she is. I also didn't insult anybody.

Instead of quoting and essentially reposting all these posts that need to stop, why not just delete?

Um, sorry, but yes they do.

It's not anyone else's place to cast judgement on how a parent raises their children so long as the parent is doing no harm. Notre Dame is not for everyone. Just like Bama isn't for someone like Corey Robinson.

Question for those in the know about such things. So tomorrow is the day after signing day. What are the rules with regards to contact? Unlimited contact? In-home visits from assistant coaches? What's on the table here should ND feel the need to bat away SEC schools?

I didn't cast judgment. I questioned judgment. And based on my personal experiences working in hospitals in the Bronx, yes, I feel like there were times when it was my place as a concerned member of society to question some of the decisions made by some parents. So we will have to agree to disagree.

It's a shame that you weren't so vocal and forceful, week in and week out, when people were absolutely KILLING Joe Schmidt during the season.........
