FWIW, Connelly in his advanced stats for 2016 had Stepherson's catch rate as 50% on 50 targets; ESB at 65.9% on 88 targets. obviously thought targets != catchable balls.

Additionally, does anyone know how to code/format tables on this version of vBulletin?

Thanks for the data!

ESB in 2017 37.9% (11 catches on 29 targets). I think you're right, this doesn't account for uncatchable balls.

I'm just really hoping Stepherson has matured and can help the team based on his explosiveness and ability to contribute as a true freshman. I understand that some closer to the program may know stuff I don't.

Gonna see some fresh legs.

Honestly, if efficient, he should only need a few plays to get the needed impact for the offense.

I'll sell. I do think we take a big play action shot early by don't connect. Stepherson ends day with 2 catches for 65 yards, but teams take notice of the added weapon.

Would be great to get him involved and back where his on field presence has ripple affects on the defense and offense, we need it. Glad to have him back.

On a comparative basis,

ESB averages 16.0 y/catch and a TD every 7 catches.

KS averages 18.5 ypc and a TD every 5 catches.

Stepherson is more productive.

In judging a Wide Reciever. YPC has to be one of the worst ways to do so.

Single most important WR we have. I love EQ and all of our guys but Stepherson can change games.

If Wimbush can get on target with his deep ball, we'd have put 49 on em.

Agree totally. It seems to me when we need a score to break/change the game Wimbush targets him.

The last deep ball BW threw to him was literally right in front of my seats. KJ coulda caught that ball, he alligator armed it and didn’t extend fully. But that’s ok we were up 21. Those will

It also looked like he could have flattened his route more and been there. I wonder how much Wimbush's arm strength allows him to put that on a rope and limits the receivers time to adjust to the flight.

It was overthrown. Would have very difficult to bring that down which is fine. We were controlling the game so you don't want to under throw that and bring a pick into play at that point.

He's so good honestly. Attacks the ball better than any of the wrs on the team and he's like 75 pounds.
