You guys may jump me for this but I truly believe this is a Jaylon Smith level of prospect at OLB. Now, Jaylon gets the edge because of his level of understanding of playing the position and reps he'd taken there before. I'm speaking more to what this could become.

I agree with this. I think this kid is going to be a star. I was bummed when he committed to SC and would be stoked if he flipped.

Edit: thought was in the Hayes thread, but I prefer this kid at OLB and think he will be great. Would love to see them both sign up.

You might be look for Daelin Hayes's thread.

Also, I may have been a little overzealous with that statement before but I do think this kid could be a freak on D with some coaching.

I was. :)

I agree with you on Claypool. Guys that by are not supposed to me that well and his tape does not lie. That kid is a big time football player. Not nearly as impressed with his WR film as with his LB film. He must have smoked it at II at receiver.

Per Ivins at BGI he just made a great play in 7 on 7. Jump ball in the end zone where he climbed the ladder and made the catch over the defender. Called it his best catch that he's seen from him in person. They've watched him a few times now. SMSD, II, and the opening.

He made a real nice one handed grab during II. So if this is better than that, then it was a hell of a grab.

Any chance they got it on vid?

During the actual broadcast (ESPNU) he was on the ground for a brief moment after hitting his head where you thought something might actually be wrong. Then he bounced up acting like no big deal. It definitely rang his bell. Tough kid.

Okie Dokie... time to bow out of the competition. At this rate, he will be a Notre Dame lock, compliments of a major injury.

I think it's going to be somewhere around 8 pm EST, but that's a "best guess."
