Yeah, it has been but there are two MD kids on the roster now so it's not out of the question.

From my source that called ESB a done deal back in July, Curtis Robinson is going to be Irish AND he's gonna be a safety (if he stays safety sized)

Supposedly, he's an absolute RKG. I saw Mater Dei play last year, I will admit he did not stand out... Ben Humphreys did and it's a shame ND didn't offer because SC and Stanford didn't either and he went to Duke, where he will be a MONSTER safety. But that's another story...

Look for a big year for the Irish in California this year. With Sanford and Denbrock both working the state, as well as LeFleur NOT working the state... they will have much more success.

I thought Robinson was an OLB? He looks damn good playing OLB in HS and in my opinion is a better prospect than Daelin Hayes. I have never seen a guy get ranked a 5 star based off a non contact 1 day camp performance.

If you saw the two in person out of pads you would see the difference . Hayes is built like Terrell Owens...as a 16 year old.

Spent beaucoup time with Schmidt, Elliott, and Denbrock. The staff did an excellent job with him and his mother. He's adamant that he is not a UCLA lock by any means. Will visit Stanford and UCLA in the coming weeks and anticipates having a good idea of where he wants to go at that point. Mom was also impressed.

I feel pretty good about Robinson going forward.

Coach D spoke very highly of this kid, and I can see why. Jaylon Smith/Bilal-esque in terms of athleticism and range. He has gorilla like arms. Elston would love him, very fundamentally sound tackler. Not a big-time hitter (though he's laid the wood down on occasions) but makes sure they're on the ground. Needs to bulk up, but outside of that, could be a major pickup. We really need to get Mater Dei on our side. With them and Servite, we have ourselves a good little pipeline going in SoCal.

Per Rivals he was the top performer on D at the SoCal Elite 7 on 7 tourney and was arguably the best player overall as he played S and WR. Gives you an idea why some like this kid so much that he can move well enough to play S at his size.

Spoke to a high profile Mater Dei athlete on the plane to Indy last week. He mentioned Stanford and USC for Curtis.

Not that its FB related but kid spoke very highly of Rex Pfluegger for the bball team.
