Can this guy play next year, or does he have to wait a year?

Looks like I called it in the Master thread.

Haven't actually seen him play on TV and I doubt any have unless they picked up some UAB games this year, but his stats on paper are damn impressive!

Especially if they have any good pass rushers and safeties.

I prepfer my safeties to be of the "tackling type". If they have a couple of those then I drive down and pick them up myself. However, this is UAB.

From the article:
RB Jordan Howard (So.) — Howard is 7th in the nation this season with 1,587 yards to his name. There is no question he is the prized Silas Redd of a potential looting free for all. Reggie Johnson, the man who found and recruited Howard to UAB, is now the defensive coordinator at Alabama A&M. Howard certainly wouldn’t have to sit out if he transferred there, but he’s a bruising running back that should get phone calls. What makes sense: Louisville. They have gone after guys like this before (see Michael Dyer) plus that’s where McGee is. But this could be a case where any school is looking to add an impact player.

We should be swarming UAB.

You should be swarming Bill Clark. He would be the key for any available UAB players. Plus, his ties down here with the high schools is extremely deep. Getting him on staff in some sort of defensive roll would open some doors... not only with players like Howard, but potentially a lot more coming up through the high school ranks. Clark is a defensive genius as well so it would be a win win.

This X1000000.

He has a lot of respect in the coaching circles too. It would help him and ND if he was able to get to South Bend. He's been in the south his whole career so expanding it might be beneficial to him.

Was his profile posted because we are going after him or just because he's available?

Why would he come here as opposed to a school where he would be the clear #1? Seems like he has been productive enough not to want to split carries with Folston/Bryant.

As expected, is a no go for transfer. Most credits won't transfer.

According to Sampson information is still being processed by ND concerning Howard. Nothing has been determined yet.

According to ISD, it's not going to work out. Considering they were the first to break the interest and have been most in the loop I'm inclined to believe them.

Purely speculation on my part but this could be one of those "pretend like I have a committable offer from ND to get more offers" situations.
