Really hoping that the Niners are going to go after Mora Jr.

If Mora were to leave UCLA, USC's class would rocket into the stratosphere. Jim Mora is the only thing standing in the way of a USC monopoly on Southern Cal talent.

Good for Alford for sending him mail at his hotel room and if ND wants to land Soso recruit him the hardest until NSD.

If Soso watched the UCLA game yesterday it will be hard to believe he wouldn't commit to them. Perkins racked up 194 yards and 2 TD's on runs of 32 & 67 yards.

I agree. UCLA looked pretty impressive yesterday and I think it would be hard for Soso not to want to commit to them. I hope he decides on us, but honestly I think he is UCLA bound.

In all seriousness, do you think it's that cut and dry? Would be sweet as there seems to be some smoke regarding Mora and the Niners.

I'm sorry you're struggling.

Maybe not cut and dry per say, but anytime a coach leaves a program, people can get in some pretty good points about program stability and all that. Plus, Alford being on the case is great. Lastly, on a personal note, I feel that these kids going out to UCLA committed because of all the flash that Mora showed them. Take him away, and some of the shine goes away as well.

Pete Sampson seems to like Dexter Williams more than Soso. He thinks Dexter would have more of a chance to be a difference maker next year. Said Soso is "not a sure thing" at the next level

I would tend to agree with him, although they are close and very comparable runners IMO. Williams looks just a little more "slippery" to me.

Senior year highlights are up on his Twitter. Sounds like he's dedicated to his craft. Very well spoken in the first segment of the video.

On Rivals, said he's a NSD decision and has one station covering his announcement and is trying to get ESPN to cover it as well. Visiting AM today and Texas after that.

IMO, turned into more of a drama mama than I originally thought.

Confidnece in his ability is what I would want in a running back. You want a guy that thinks he can take it to the house every time he touches it. I have no issue with his confidence.

What the fuck are you talking about? You don't even know this kid yet you take shots at his character? Koon this goes for you too but I am really curious on why you think this about him? Because he's not committing to ND and taking other visits?

I have zero problem with him wanting the attention. I want my star player to have a cocky edge. Just pointing out that he didn't seem like he wanted it at the beginning and there were reports that he was getting sick of the recruiting process in September. Just saying that apparently wasn't the case.

Side note, do we want this guy to commit to AM? They're apparently a player for Dexter Williams, so?

I didn't mean to come at you like that and blow up but that shit honestly drives me nuts. Soso has always enjoyed the recruiting process and the attention it brings. A ton of kids do.

I really don't think A&M is a player with Williams, they have had a tough time recruiting RB's like us because they don't really use the RB kind of why Jamabo cooled on them earlier in the process. Williams seems to be down to ND and Louisville with Miami creeping around. I actually like ND's chances with Williams as long as we can convince him to leave his buddies and be in the two deep right away. I like him a hell of a lot more than Vaughn.

Dude I like soso and would welcome him to nd with csrtwheels. But I remember Loy saying around the Michigan game soso didn't like the process and wouldn't be surprised if he ended it soon and quietly.

Just pointing out he likes the process more than I originally thought. Esb likes the process too and I'm pumped to have him.

It's all good in the hood. I want more divas cause they're usually good lol.

Agreed, we could just some divas and some personality on this team. Couple guys with some screws loose like Nyles Morgan. You are right I do remember Loy saying that because at the time I think he was ready to make a decision then he went out to LA and ND started dropping games. I think he might be getting some family pressure to stay close to home hence why he is taking the A&M and Texas visits. I think Pete Sampson pointed out once that Soso enjoys the attention and the recruiting process at times. Then at times can't stand it so I think he has slowed the process down and is making the best decision for himself instead of the one he feels in his gut.

Divas pick USC over us..that's what they do.

Like? We could use some of those football players and not so many guys who will end up on Wall Street one day. I don't know about you but I feel like USC starting 22 is much better than our starting 22 last year. Heck even their two deep was pretty damn good.

The majority of the team won't ever be back on the campus. I don't want those players who forget where they came from and act like they are bigger than the school.

What are you talking about?

usc's "alumni" lol. Got to understand, just because they get all these recruits that say they are taking whatever talent they have to southern cal, it doesn't mean the grass is greener on the other side. Divas account for many coaching firings, bad perfomances on field, trouble in the locker room, trouble outside of the classroom and worst enough they don't even graduate at some of these schools because they are blind to the fact that football doesn't last forever and it's nearly a short experience for most who want to go pro. Do ND take divas...yes sometimes, but USC pampers their divas while we don't put up with the bs.

I have been happy with Kelly's recruits, in general. I respect that they were willing to accept the challenge.

Perhaps. However 17 of our starting 22 were watching the game and not playing. I also noted that their fourth and fifth year players were better than most of our walkons who were playing. Such talent!

17? Am I missing something? Most of our offense was the same starting offense that started all year (Fuller, Koyak, Folston, Martin, Elmer, Stanley, Brown, Procise). On D, we started Luke, Jaylon, Redfield, and I think Shumate. True we had a lot of injuries but not 17 of our 22 starters. Miraculously, our offense was not that injured this year. I think we only had 1 OL injury that caused a player to sit out and that was Lombard. CRob and Martin both had hand injuries but they still played.

IIRC, Golson played hurt (shoulder sprain), Lombard I think played hurt as did Martin (for most of the year). Didn't Redfield break a rib early in this one? Not to mention, he wasn't starting at first (Collinsworth was out for the season).

I think Jaylon and Luke (and I believe he played hurt too) were the only starters from the game prior in, as Tranquill and Collinsworth were the starters before they go hurt. Not to mention both DT's and their backups.

Overall, a total mess.

This 100%. It showed how overblown that game was when ND upended LSU, and USC barely escaped a coach-less Nebraska team.

ND had to deal with the most amount of injuries/suspensions in the country, while USC remained practically unscathed the whole year. Overall, they were extremely lucky this year in those regards. A lot more leadership and experience on the field, and they had the talent and balanced attack to exploit a very green ND defense. Meanwhile, ND was fumbling around with an injured Golson.

Just stop. Losing their starting LT is unscathed. They also lost Bigelow and Ruffin before the season started. They also lost Shaw, a starter for nearly the whole season. Madden the running back didn't play either all season. Lost their 2nd string TE to academics and 3rd string to broken foot. Safety was thin and they played true freshmen everywhere, yet they were unscathed.

Please tell me what your definition with unscathed is because clearly USC played undermanned all year due to sanctions as well.
