'15 PA RB Josh Adams (Notre Dame Signed NLI)

I agree that he probably won't go that high but I think it's in the best interest of the board if we take this bet.

It's not even a bet, I'm not asking for the site to put anything on the line because I know no team is drafting Adams that early, if at all.

I should caveat unless it's the Browns, because they love bad ideas.

Not saying I'm disappointed that Adams is/might be coming back, but count me as one who thinks Dex is a better running back. Jones showed flashes too. Obviously Adams had a heck of a season, but like my son said, he's good against the bad teams, but can't generate any yards against the good teams. If he can't get to the second level, he's not the right back. And he can't get to the second level against fast, good D's.
I really hope BK/Long/Denson find a good balance with the backs, or I really hope Dex transfers, as he deserves a fair shot!

How'd he fall forward against Georgia and Miami? He doesn't fall forward unless he's going against little guys. His style is fools gold, and BK is all about that fools gold.

You're right my man. Our O-line dominated both of those teams. Both losses rest squarely on Adam's shoulders. Get the bum outta there.

Anyone else notice that Koon is always clamoring for the backup to be starting?

I'm just ahead of the curve. Adams should split reps with the others, not taking 80% of the reps. And Book should be getting a shot. I noticed that before anyone else early in the year, and now others are coming around.

I should have been a scout, I see things before others can and it could make me a lot of money.

I know Koon posts some crazy stuff, but you guys are just making crap up now. He never said that he didn't think Josh should start, he just wants BK to give other backs carries, especially during those games that it's obvious that Josh's running style doesn't appear to be working.

I'll take a permanent ban if he's drafted in the first 3 rounds this year.

The NFL doesn't want him.

Your backpedal is so fast, you should be playing CB.

What back pedal?

If Josh Adams gets drafted in the 3rd round or better this year, I will leave the site.

I'm not backpedaling. I have zero fear of throwing this out there.

I can't honestly say I'm happy to hear this. We have 2 legit running backs on the roster that don't get enough carries.

I'm tired of the straight up and down, run right into the pile guy who gets a ~70 yarder on ever bad team to make it look like he's dominating. I'm tired of his running style.

It will be the same crap next year. Dominate crap opponents, do nothing against good ones, and BK will force him and not share the ball. Just go pro Josh.

Don't taze me.

You're right he never said he didn't think Josh should start, just that he's not happy he's coming back.

A draft eligible RB who has durability issues, had one of the best seasons of all time for a ND RB, plays a position where the average shelf life is incredibly short, and probably won't increase his draft stock by doing the same thing next season. Hmmmm...I think he should 1000% go pro. How many more years are the legs of this dude gonna hold up? If he does come back, then I absolutely love it and can't wait to watch him next season, but I think he should go pro and can return for his 4-5 classes to finish his degree when he's done playing professional football.

It seems to me that RBs are way more likely to get moved on from the NFL with plenty left due to organisations moving on to the next prospect than end up their time due to injuries.

For every RB whose career was cut short from injury there must be 3 or 4 in full health looking for a gig wishing they had one more year of living the dream in front of 75,000 college fans.

Adams should come back lead the Irish, rack up a heap more 70yard runs, break some records and then go play 2 or 3 years in the League and retire with plenty left in his body.

None of your comments offend me. But I am hurt that no one laughed at my Hector Salamanca comparison.

I'll say it...to me, Dex is a better RB.

Josh seems like a great guy. Maybe he's better in pass protection. Maybe he would win a 100m race against Dex

Then again, maybe not:

I can't guarantee you we'd have won if we gave Dexter the start and/or Tony Jones, but I sure as hell could guarantee you it wouldn't have hurt to try after watching Adams get stone walled the entire first half, and looking like he had the agility of Hector Salamanca.

There was plenty of proof in the 1st quarter that the talent was too big for Josh's style, and we have Dexter and Jones Jr sitting there on the bench, who actually run like running backs. Dexter was "hurt" against Miami and came in for a 16 yard run and then sat. Adams was the one hurt all year long, yet we forced him over and over, acted like 70 yard runs against North Carolina are a sign of the times.

What's the definition of insanity again?

Arguing with someone that is constantly moving the goalposts?

Stay Josh, just to piss off people with opinions like this.

It's laughable to say he did "nothing against good" opponents. Straight up laughable.

You want to promote the usage of other backs, I'm right there with you.

You don't have to sh*t on Josh to do it. That's a coaching issue.

It’s just perfect that Koon spent a week pissing his pants about the NC State defensive front and defending them as comparable to UGA... And later says Adams did nothing against good opponents.

Again, it’s perfectly reasonable to be mad that Dex/TJJr aren’t more involved, or to lament the idea that their carries may remain limited. But to disparage Adams and his accomplishments in the process is just... whew.

Remember when people were saying the same thing about Kizer and BW last year? This feels like the same thing. We'd be in the playoffs most likely if Kizer was back and there's no way we'd be better off without Adams. It's an absurd comment.

If I'm Josh, I'm going pro. Coming off the season he just had, I'm not sure next year can get better since we're losing the best LT/LG in the country. Josh basically limped across the finish line multiple games this year down the stretch. His body has a ton of mileage. Go get paid while you can Josh. ND isn't going anywhere.

I wanna see Dex featured next year. That's the only reason I hope Josh chooses the NFL. We have a perfect 1-2 punch with Josh being the workhorse and Dex getting 15 touches to loosen the defense up. Josh is patient while Dex is lightning with his first two steps. Both are great attributes and both are ineffective if solely relied upon. I truly believe if Dex was used more in UG we would've won because he showed that he could push the pile 3-4 yds when he had the chance. He would've helped keep drives going instead of stalling.

This staff has no idea how to utilize these talents to the fullest so Josh should go while his stock is high and Dex should be three featured back next year with TJr getting reps. Otherwise Dex is gone
