If we have him as a priority, I see us landing him, through his Gonzaga Prep connection.

I'm not sure which recruiting analyst it was, all the info around NSD seems like a blur now, either somebody at rivals or 247 said that ND should be doing a better job in the DC area. They thought our brand was strong there and are surprised we haven't been pushing harder in that area.

Really like his tape and I like how the staff has been offering taller corners (6'0"-6'1"). This might be why Shaun Crawford didn't get an offer or maybe this is just how BVG likes his corners.

Probably more of a comment on the "system" than this kid specifically but holy cow those rankings are far apart. ATH 41, CB 9, Overall 68, CB 21, and NR.

Good offer list, but especially ACC-heavy early on. Let the battles begin.

Also, with the connection to Butler, he's gotta be a lock.

Per II, talked to Cooks, who told him that he thought he was a top 5 CB in the country. Aiming for a spring visit to ND. Has talked to Devin Butler about ND, and Butler talks up the academics, coaching staff, team chemistry and national TV aspects.

Love his size and physicality.

He's also got some surprising shiftiness for a dude who is 6'2'' 190. I like him at both CB and WR.

Wasnt this similar to Diaco's philosphy? Though for Diaco he was a little more lenient and said 5'11 at least

Man this kid is an athlete. Runs through, over, around, and away from people. Looks effortless doing it.

Dare I say Richard Sherman esque.

BTW who used to recruit the DC area Diaco or Booker?

Man I'm already digging BVGs offer philosophy. If he likes what he sees, he offers. Let these kids know we're serious, especially the kids that seem underrated or have fairly different rankings across services.

The Gonzaga connection will certainly help. In addition to Butler, ND has supporters within their school / athletic administration. Each kid is looking for different things though so we'll see.

I have some good connections at Gonzaga. If this recruitment goes beyond the Spring visit, I should be able to provide some insight on where ND stands during the process.

@ISDUpdate: 2015 DC CB Marcus Lewis (@THE_NUMERO_UNO) talks #NotreDame offer, visit plans, Devin Butler & more. (Premium) DC CB Likes ND | Irish Sports Daily

Will be on campus for spring practice at some point.
Was a SOPH when D Butler was a SR at Gonzaga and learned a lot from him.
Most important factors in order, Academics, ability to come in and compete early, and overall fit in a program(coaches, players, people around the program.)

IMO, we're in good shape early here.

If this kid turns out to possess them also, on par with Butler's intangibles . . .

pretty positive update...would love to land this guy.

think we fit each one of those factors pretty well. only question mark would be with early PT, but with BVG in the house now we're going to be able to get more DB's on the field at a time, which wasn't always the case with the old scheme
