I'm not sure BK wants the Cincy Offense... aggressive and fast - Yes - but
more about dictating terms and controlling the clock
You may be right, but I think he's going more for "the best of both worlds."
For the duration of his stay at UC, and in many of his comments upon arrival at ND, BK talked about the importance of "chunk plays" above all else. With Rees at the helm for ~3 years, that strategy had to be dumbed down. Of course, you want chunk plays regardless of who your QB is... but your QB has to help a bit. Rees was a good QB for the most part, but the ball/clock control offense benefited him and helped him overcome some of his limitations, so BK had no choice but to go with the "control the clock" offense.
As for "dictating the terms"? Cincy's offense dictated the terms at all times when BK was at UC. Fast-pace, no-huddle offense that worried less about what the defense was doing and more about getting BK/Quinn's plays in ASAP. That is dictating the terms of game. Tommy Rees going to the line and looking at the defense, making a read, looking back to sideline, and then making changes is not dictating the terms.
