Why do kids nowadays feel the need to use Twitter as an online journal of their inner most feelings?

Kids? Man, I have some adult ‘friends’ on FB that air out their problems all the time. Females are the worst. I’d imagine it’s the same on Twitter. People are insane. They spend their time on social media either lying/overexaggerating about how great their kids and their lives are, or begging for sympathy when bad shit happens to them. Ugh.

I think it's time to move past this. We've all made mistakes. "Kids these days" make mistakes on social media. Best wishes moving forward JH.

Man, you really need to see someone about your overall view of life. I just looked through all of your posts because I had a subconscious association between you and negative posts and my goodness, the first page didn't contain a single positive or excited feeling about our team.

We could be much worse right now, there are still things to be excited about. Yeah, we have a MASH unit going on but we also have some gamers on this team and they haven't completely dropped the ball, as we're sitting at 3-0 after playing 3 straight FCS schools, one who was favored to beat us in our house.

Olympia is the worst. And that's all I got to say about that.

Potential troll alert.

Said troll on radar, over.

he would still have to sit out a year

its a very immature way to go about it and one the coaches certainly aren't going to kiss his ass...he needs to take a page from Mathias and busts his @ss regardless of his playing/starting time was cut drastically but continues to be supportive to all other teammates...and guess what, now he is called upon to play another key role for the Irish...this is the kind of kid i want out of the locker room

we aren't close to be transfer U...you might just believe that because you haven't been watching other teams but plenty of teams have transfers at even a larger rate, you just happened to be vested in watching ND's news

Very, very true. What I think he forgot to mention is the academic suspensions we've had that other schools don't added to transfers and injuries. But he forgot to add that in. Just guessing.

This is BS, even if he is unhappy. You don't just throw your feelings in the street for everyone to see when it comes to something like this.

I hope The University of Notre Dame's football team does go on to win the Natty, and he is not part of it. Why wait if you gotta go?

That's super harsh. You say "we," but even if he never plays, he will be much more a part of winning than you or I will ever be.

Sorry, "they"...I'll edit above. Super harsh, maybe, but wtf?..."gotta get this natty and I'm out"...then just go. He said it, not me.

But, honestly............... he may have said it, but you are the one presuming to know the motivation and context behind it. There are thousands of possible scenarios here............ and more than one could explain away a tweet like that.

Why does the motivation and/or context matter? His message was clear (to me anyway), especially combined with the previous tweet. If there is more than one explanation I'd like to hear it or them.

If he is that pissed, then just go...and not after this "team" is crowned champions. Nobody will lose sleep. Sorry if that is too harsh...

I'd like to see him succeed at ND just as much as anyone, but this is super poor judgement for a team with real playoff aspirations. We don't need sh-t like this.

He wants to graduate, win a natty and get out. Good for him. Accomplish two HUGE goals and on to the next. All in the interpretation of his tweet.

He is in college. Natty could be short for Natty Bo. The beer of choice in the Chesapeake Bay area!

Sure, but if you decide to tweet something that is clear as mud, and widely open to interpretation, aren't you responsible for that? I believe I read that he deleted the tweets. That's pretty telling in itself.

And he's too young to legally drink, so if he's going to play it off as he's talking about grabbing Natty Ice (which he's not), it's almost as dumb.

Was pretty obvious what he was talking about, and it wasn't beer. How much he actually meant it, versus how much was ill-advised venting on social media, we have no idea.

Exactly how many ways can you explain away the tweet about it being time to go because the coaches aren't coaching him? Clearly he has issues with the staff. Try not to be a contrarian for five minutes.

Oh, almost forgot: ;)

I'm in my mid 30's and completely agree with him. Social Media is pretty pathetic..the overwhelming majority of it is attention seeking, narcissistic, and serves no real value to humanity.

Yes to all of this.
