ND guys are my only interest in the league.
Probably for the best. I've been turned off the last several years.. The defensive rules have made it painful to watch at times
ND guys are my only interest in the league.
I'm not sure how to embed tweets from my phone.
When Dez Bryant was asked about Jaylon-" oh man, look at that guy! He is a freak of nature. He loves the game. Look at him. He looks like a damn action figure."
Took a little googling to find the tweet, but I got you fam.

I've never wanted a player to succeed more. He's my second favourite player.
Jaylon at MLB? Who knew?
I think I argued at one point on here that he should be the MLB in our defense, roaming sideline-to-sideline to maximize his athleticism, but I was lambasted lol
Random thought. I always thought he had too small of legs and trunk for an NFL LB. Ive always thought he was built more for DB.

he's too fluid of a runner to be caught in the wash at MLB at college level. Sure half the time he ran past Schmidt from the weak side to make a tackle on the strong side of the play lol.
I think that was essentially the point of my argument in '14 or '15 (it was one of the threads that devolved into "Joe Schmidt is a general liability").
If he's going to be overrunning and making up for our MLB 75% of the time anyway, why not put Jaylon in the middle, maximize his range, and then play Martini or someone else on the outside?
Even if the defense isn't getting lined up at All American levels like Joe produced, I think it still would have been an overall upgrade. They would have flown around more, and Jaylon would have benefited from the amount of MLB blitzes that Joe was gifted.
Obviously Jaylon knew that I just finished my ACL rehab, so now he's good to go as well

How did you mess up your knee?
"He's ready in my eyes," Dez Bryant said. "The guy is phenomenal. When he touches you, it's like you know he's coming with that heat if this was a real game. The dude is filthy-nasty. I mean, in a good way. I'm ready to see him play.
"I'm glad we're on the same team, that's all I'm going to say."
"I'm ready to see him go straight into beastmode," Bryant said. "He's got Sean Lee right next to him. He's got Anthony Hitchens with him as well [and] Justin Durant. That whole linebacking corps, it's going to be a special group."
14. Dallas Cowboys
Draft picks: Ezekiel Elliott (No. 4 overall), Jaylon Smith (No. 34 overall), Maliek Collins (No. 67 overall), Charles Tapper (No. 101), Dak Prescott (No. 135), Anthony Brown (No. 189), Kavon Frazier (No. 212), Darius Jackson (No. 216), Rico Gathers (No. 217)
This was a highly speculative draft. While some would argue that Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth pick is too high, I would argue that he could become an instant Pro Bowler. The picks that will truly define this draft will be Jaylon Smith in Round 2 and Dak Prescott in Round 4.
