The more I read about this the more I think Bosa is being an entitled prick.

Sigh, The Chargers are who I turned to when the Browns left town,... so I will always have a place in my heart... but damn, how bad do things have to be to make players not want to live and work in San Diego(Point made on the radio this morning)??

That's a very good point. I mean it's San Diego for crying out loud!! But Joey Bosa to me just seems like a person with a sense of entitlement and honestly I cannot stand that.

They could get me to sign by throwing in a few Carne Asada burritos from Sombrero.

wonder if his dad and uncle (kumerow) both getting injured early in their nfl careers when the cba had zero guaranteed money has totally screwed up/impacted his mindset during all these negotiatons re: the offsets, guaranteed money part of his contract etc.

my hunch is he slithers into camp within a week.

So you don't think he should take any responsibility for his behavior and the Chargers should have to essentially give him a contract commiserate with a 1st overall pick?

Ok then.

Exactly.

The Chargers are doing what they always have done. And even saying that, they've offered him above and beyond what they normally do...and he's not even willing to work with them. At some point, you gotta stick to your guns.

I say let him rot. The Chargers will be fine. Bosa will be selling insurance. LOL

I was thinking the same thing...I mean, he has more to lose. Imagine how other teams are viewing him and how he and his family are behaving during this process.

Entitled? It seems to have worked out his way his entire life (although I say that without any facts).

this should be required reading for anybody in this thread bashing Bosa.

Chargers are simply cheap, petty assholes who are trying to make Bosa agree to a contract that no top 5 pick in history has ever agreed to. They want to have their cake and eat it too. He came back to them and said I'll give you one or the other, not both. Which is more than fair on his part. They are the ones being unreasonable pricks.

Spanos family = top 3 worst owners in the NFL. Ford family and Jed York being the other two.

You're missing the point. Even those who think Bosa is a prick agree that the Chargers are dicks and have been cheap. The problem is Bosa's camp fired some shots at the Chargers before negotiations started. Would you say something derogative to your boss before asking for a raise?

No Bosa's a dick. Pretty squarely doing something never done before, and being a lil cocksucker. I personally don't care how strong you think you are. Nobodies as strong without the family behind. (ass) 17 million guaranteed?

Bosa will not be the next JJ Watt-ish player.

He'll be a lot like his daddy I'll bet and sink to mediocrity.

Really? Because both Wentz and Ezekiel Elliott have bonus deferment in their contracts.

People are essentially looking for anything they can to say it isn't fair, but it's better than any defensive player in the draft. If the Chargers would have passed, he would be getting paid less because of the position he would have been drafted in. Bosa immediately talked shit about their franchise and demanded everything with zero compromise. Fuck him.

This^^^^

I realize that the NFL is a unique animal, as it relates to business, but.........

Can you imagine hiring an IT contractor for a specific project on a per day rate, and then having him demand to be paid for each day of the projected length of the project, instead of the actual length of the project? That's not realistic in the real world, is it?

And he talks shit about you to the media before he makes that demand.
