I see that on the 247 timeline, but I assumed it was outdated as I can't find anything on any message boards stating that he is still planning on visiting. I believe both Rivals and Scout had articles regarding Bryant no longer considering OU from 9 or 10 days ago.

Sapp said it in Tunnel Vision. Don't know if his info is outdated as well.

Allgator, he is considering ND again .

Green and Bryant were my two favorite rb's early in the process. I remember an interview that Greg did where he said that he was always in regular contact with Alford and they had a great relationship. With that said I never saw this coming but it is very welcome.

Rivals has him as a 5* and the #2 back in the country.

Yeah, but when you consider WE are the #1 ranked team in the nation and we aren't all that good (per anyone outside of ND nation -> the fan base not the forum)...

[its kinda wierd being THAT GUY to THAT GUY]

I have no idea if we are really in the mix for this kid or not. But you can see he is special. Have to hope that this magical season is really impressing him to make him strongly consider being Irish. Would love to have hiim Irish.

If Jonas Gray had been all-in and focused from day 1, he could have been special.

Confession: he looks good on film, but he seems to basically manhandle smaller kids and dances a lot. I have no idea what I'm talking about, but he is not the most impressive back to me.

I thought I was alone. I didn't see much speed in that video and even those his size is nice, the highlights didn't scream power back. Again, its one video but I think I'd rather have Folston or Muhammad. Especially with the James and Mahone being of very similar 'type'.

You are crazy if you would take Muhammad over Bryant.

I guess here is my reasoning:

Muhammad brings something that only GA3 brings right now at RB, elite speed. You can't coach that, and its tough to defend that. Bryant is very similar in skill set to Mahone and James(although he looks like a more talented receiver and shiftier). So if we keep James and take another, I'd rather it be Folston or Muhammad. If James is really looking around though and his commitment isnt honored for that the reason, I'd take Bryant. But I see no reason to take Bryant and James. Too similar and it would just be wasting James scholarship IMO.

some people want to be the person to pick the next sleeper in the class, so they say stuff like that and hope it sticks...

Its really not like that. I really just subscribe to the Oregon theory on running backs. Speed is the ultimate gamebreaker, and more speed results in more yards per carry. Now you can't have just a speed back because some situations call for some power yardsand small backs get hurt more. But I like a home run hitter.

I'm not the guy saying Springmann or Turner are the hidden gems of this class. I just prefer speed.

With Kelly's type of spread, I prefer a powerful back who can get to the hole north-south, rip through an incompetent tackling attempt and blast into the secondary. I care very little if the guy has Atkinson speed if he can do that. My dreams are of a healthy senior year Jonas Gray, who can catch the ball.

Fwiw South Carolina fans think David Williams is a silent to them and will be done after he commits.

That would work! Bryant or Folston would be such a nice addition to the backfield! Gotta keep getting playmakers.

No sleepers in Florida

No sleepers in Florida

Nowhere have I heard such sounds emanating from a high school football field when tackler and ball carrier collide than Florida(Texas comes close). The speed on both sides of the ball is deafening. You do not pass(Folston/Bryant) making room for successful Florida running backs.

1st post long time lurker. Been a fan since 1993 when i was a kid. Theo is leaving which leaves a huge void next year. All the backs coming back except mahone are swiftly fast BUT not power backs that can get the tough yards like theo has been doing this year.

1.) Not sold on george being a every down back
2.) Cam is nice but not a primary type back for a title contending team
3.) Mahone is unproven
4.) Amir is injury prone.

We definitely need a tough power type back like greg bryant in this class. Not sold on jamel either doesnt he have injury issues as well? I put getting bryant as the TOP primary at this moment.

I wouldn't discount Cam. I think he's very similar to Theo in the way he runs with the ball.

I agree with you on George, although he can make strides in the weight room but I think you may be a little too quick to judge Cam. Granted, it's mop up duty, but I see a kid with solid instincts, vision and power. Let's see him get a lion's share of the carries next year..
