Happy B'day, ShakeDown
Catholics have always known through the mother you get the son. (For the non Catholics I am referring to Mary and Jesus our savior).
We got 2 of the best 3 recruits this year IMHO .
That's because you know how the 2008 turned out. To me I'm going to say they are the same.
No, it's because the stars of this class are on D, not on O, and we have elite OL and DL hauls.
I totally agree. The strength of this team is already the front seven, oline and running game. What we needed was depth in those areas. We have that now.
Skill players alone do not make championship caliber teams. Blue chip Depth on the lines does.
I hear ya...But that class had Flemming, Filer, Cwyner, Ethan Johnson, KLM off the top of my head. No, it's because the stars of this class are on D, not on O, and we have elite OL and DL hauls.

I mean not saying one class is better than the other. I'm just going to stay cool.
2008 was similar to a USC high rated class. This year is ahigh character, football loving brotherhood that will get developed to their full potential and lay it on the line for each other. This is one of our finest moments!
This class is better IMO, and to me it isn't even up for debate.

Great update on EV's recruitment by ISD
Elston and Diaco made huge impressions
Mom and Grandma loved the academics
Louis Nix was huge in helping him get over distance
Can we switch Nix's title to Notre dame man yet? I vote hell yes!

That's true...Just let me have my way that the two classes are on par so I don't get over excited and jinx them.Yeah, but Ethan got hurt and all the others were undersized. These guys, especially the elite ones, are all huge and/or prototypes for their positions. Redfield is a massive safety that can fly, Jaylon is a mutant, and Eddie is already 305 with some quick as hell DL feet.
That's not even counting the massive Isaac, underrated Jacob, the potentially great Cole, and others.

Welcome aboard EV
...lots of folks in the SID who went... WHEW!
We only got two DL in this class -- two really good DL, but only two. Take a look at the DL haul for Alabama this year. When we start pulling in that kind of depth, we will truly be in the championship discussion year in and year out.
We definately got a better OL haul than them and we didn't take 16 RBs in this class like Saban did, so I'm not sure I'd trade classes with Bama or anything, but I look at their DL haul and I just drool.
All of that said, I am very very happy with this class. It is the best we've had since 08.

How I see EV's announcement transpiring:
Eddie walks into his high school gym and sits in front of a cleared off table with only a microphone on it. Seconds later fireworks explode from the rafters of the gym as an unknown man repels down like a navy seal. The mysterious man from the rafters lands just in front of Eddie's table and pulls out a golden envelope and hands it to Eddie. The unknown man and Eddie only exchange a quick look and head nod before the mysterious man with exquisite hair picks up the mic and says "I'm Bob Diaco, where is the weight room?". Eddie signs the Letter of Intent and sends it off to be faxed and tells the crowd "I'm Eddie Vanderdoes, and I lift with Bob Diaco bro!"
