I agree with you. i've always liked those Pac-Man Jones type corners, without the issues.

Definitely. A lot of teammate targets this year it seems. Helps to add comfort on the recruiting trail, never a bad thing.

impressive offer list...any chance of us recruiting him as a slot receiver?

ND offered him today per ISD and Scout. Will not be able to attend Jr. Day, however.

I wonder if he was offered as a DB. He's way shorter than the average offer.

Did he attend the TatU Jr. Day? If so, very telling.

Well he would have come to ND's Jr Day as well if he didn't have a track meet that day, and is still planning on visiting ND during the spring. I assume he will explore all his options (like he should), and went to their Jr Day because he was available, unlike with ours.

Earned the "Best Makeup Speed" superlative at the Pitt Badger 7 on 7:

Best makeup speed
Hailing from Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, Terry Richardson is not blessed with great size at the cornerback position but he has phenomenal game speed. Richardson is a fluid corner that really reacts well, plays with great fluidity and is polished. Richardson best quality though is his rare makeup speed.

At times, Richardson was caught trailing receivers on crossing routes only to find another gear to accelerate to break up what were well-designed completions on paper. That speed reveals itself on go-routes as well and he even showed off some offensive skills as a situational home-run threat out of the slot.

Pittsburgh Badger: 7on7 superlatives

Wouldn't surprise me. I don't know of the last Cass Tech player with a UM offer to not go there.

Would explain why we would oddly be cooling down the contact with Yuri Wright...... we might have filled up. If we add Richardson our only available DB spot is one open S. And if by some miracle of God that ends up being Shaq I will cry tears of joy.

This would be the most incredible DB haul ever to go with our front 7 haul from last year.... I will keep dreaming.

I will say though I'd find it highly odd if we added a 5'9" (probably closer to 5'8") DB considering our tendency towards adding guys with length. But if he has an offer he has an offer.

i don't believe size is the issue here...if the staff is serious about recruiting speed cass tech is the place to go. i've seen plenty of "little" guys in the sec make big impacts simply because they were fast.

i'd be surprised if he came to ND, but you never know.

This would be a very nice surprise and a nice addition to our talented DB class so far.

This smells like a "Ray Drew Surprise".

Couldn't agree with you more. If the reason we backed off Yuri was grades, Im fearfull of what this young mans transcript may look like after reading that facebook post. Was there a period in that whole quote? I kid I kid.

His Cass Tech buddies are all headed to Michigan. I think this is very much a Ray Drew suprise but we will see in the end. I'd love to have Richardson or Wright to close out this CB class and focus on grabbing Carter or Shaq for safety.

I'm not trying to defend the nuetered-sin of poor grammar.... but most kids are typing their Facebook posts on their cell phones, which lead to a lot of errors. When I read his post, I assumed that it was a cell phone entry.

Man o man... if we landed Richardson and Noor Davis by week's end.... we would be stacking our defense SEC-style.

From 24/7:

Michigan’s recruiting momentum kept on rolling Thursday morning when Coach Brady Hoke and his staff added commitment No. 11 in the class of 2012 from Top247 defensive end Matt Godin.

Matt Godin was one Michigan's big recent commitments. The Wolverines might not have to wait long for number 12.

Two prospects to keep an eye on are Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech four-star cornerback Terry Richardson and Southfield (Mich.) High tight end/defensive end Ronald Thompson.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Richardson told 247Sports this week that he may visit Ann Arbor this weekend, and that he could make his college decision next week. The nation’s third-ranked cornerback also said that he might wait until August to announce. Regardless, the in-state Wolverines are strongly in the mix.

Side note - Michigan is really leaning up in state under Hoke, which I know was something he stressed when hired. If I was a Wolverine fan, I would have to be very encouraged by this fact. Similar to BK, they stated an initial recruiting goal when hired, and went out and accomplished it, with the true returns coming on the defensive side of the ball. Going to continue to be a heck of an annual game going forward.
