But eff it, I'd still take him in a heartbeat. Lots of kids have come to ND b/c of their parents and thrived. A few transfer, but a vast majority stay. Sh!t, Chris Stewart and many other have wanted to transfer while they were here, and have stayed and thrived.
And the word is that it's his dad causing the drama. I hope the dad can still talk him into ND where the kid can then tear it up. Ask anyone down here in SoCal about Jimmy Clausen's dad - dude is a real piece of work. But I'm still glad JC chose ND (man, if he had Diaco's defense...), and I still hope Neal chooses ND. Eff the media - they are going to hate us no matter what.
The offense NEEDS talent, and Davonte has loads of it. I realize that I'm in the minority, but I'd still take him (and hope he becomes a Ricky Waters drama queen/baller)...

There may have been some sort of family emergency which would exonerate any bad feelings towards this announcement.
Finally, no credible source has confirmed that a final decision has been made (and LOI signed and sent) The most probable scenario is that a decision has not been made and no one knows what is going to happen (including the Neals).

This is what I believe has happened and makes the most sense. If Davonte had planned to announce Arizona his dad would not have waited until the last minute to talk him out of it. All the comments over the last week sounded like Davonte had choosen ND. This morning comes and he calls up the Arizona coaches and RichRod probably promises him the world or starting crying on the phone or something so now he is conflicted. Luke is probably trying to convince him to stick with his original choice but now Davonte doesn't know what to do.

How sad....is this really what college football has come to? Standing up your elementary school teacher and kids? I understand it's a big decision but at least make one.... Going to have to look at this RKG thing a little different from here on out.... Darby, Greenberry now Neal possibly??? guess they're only RKG when they sign with us???
