Goodman is slow and doesn't have a lot of playing time this year, and Chris Brown runs one route. Daniels is tall, has good hands, runs nice routes, and can catch the deep pass. None of our current receivers can come close to replacing him.
You mentioned the following reasons the Goodman and Brown cant come close to replacing Daniels.
Speed - Goodman is just as fast as Daniels and Brown is faster.
Playing time: Daniels is getting starters minutes for a reason but he couldn't see the feild last year and Brown is playing as a freshman. Goodman is a 5th year and gets a check mark in the experience category.
You say Daniels is tall ok then so is Brown and Goodman is taller.
You say Daniels has good hands, ok, Goodmans showing his this year too and Brown has yet to be seen. Daniels had some moments where his hands were not good.
Catching deep passes, Goodman got behind the defense on the big play early in the season when Golson threw across his body for the TD. And had another TD this week. Brown goes deep for 50 against Oklahoma.
In your effort to give Daniels props don't belittle the accomplishments and physical abilities of Goodman and Brown.
Has Daniels made some big plays for us this year yes, but I can recall some big mistakes he's made this year also. Yes I'm a Daniels fan and he will be missed but the next man in can come close to replacing him and will be expected to.
