First of all, the reason I will not root for Aaron Lynch has everything to do with his un-public actions.

You might want to rethink how you look at the world... and same thing goes to all of those wishing him success at the next level. It's not pragmatic to wish for everyone to "succeed." The truth of the matter is that there are a finite number of NFL jobs, and a finite amount of player salary to go around. Rooting for Aaron Lynch -- an immature, woman-beating, selfish person on top of all the poor decisions he has made -- to succeed at the NFL means that someone else will not get that spot. Considering that, I'm rooting for the other guy to get that spot and get that money 100 out of 100 times. And I'll sleep fine at night doing so.

He allegedly hit a girl while at ND.

He was also a well known pot head. Blazing up on the reg outside of the dorms with a complete disregard for Res Life.

wow! didn't know that was an alleged act---if true hope wish him nothing but bad luck....pot head, well that doesn't matter to me whether it's legal or not...

i did see he is sporting a new shawty ..guess he really did get divorced

I read today that he started his diet and workout program for the combine and is expecting to perform at the combine at 265 lbs.

Man the last few pages sounded like bickering between a few ex girlfriends of a guy about how bad he was. Carry on.

Any link or source?

Or is something passed through word of mouth on campus?

Well he didn't attempt to conceal that fact. He felt entitled to break the rules.

And color me shocked on that last part.

Word of mouth. If there was a link for that, ESPN would have covered it extensively. Manti Te'o's story would have looked like a squirrel skiing behind a miniature boat.

I pretty much lived by the guy... Heard nothing about him hitting a girl. At least nothing that caused him to transfer or get in trouble.

The weed things sounds a lot more accurate.

New post today on Rotoworld about Lynch's draft stock. 4th rd grade seems about right. As others have mentioned, some team might grab him earlier simply based on potential, but his uninspiring play this year does not warrant a first or second day pick. Kid is making a bad decision to come out. If he rededicated himself and dominated next year, he probably would have been a sure fire 1st rounder.

Aaron Lynch - DL - Bulls
Draft insider Tony Pauline has pegged USF redshirt sophomore DE Aaron Lynch as a fourth-round pick.
Lynch looks like a very different player compared to his 2011 tape at Notre Dame. With the Irish he frequently lined up as a three or five technique and consistently played at a high level. Lynch did not look as comfortable in space on the edge, but the talent did not just disappear. Landing spot might be a critical piece to his future.

Another thing they will file away in their "AL" manila folder is that he is going to lose weight and get in better shape before the combine. A lot of guys go to these training facilities before the combine, but most of them are fine tuning things as opposed to getting in shape.

The Bears have much bigger needs than a DE, but if this kid is available in the 4th round, they better jump on it.

He's 244 now, why would he want to lose weight as a DE?

He's mentioned that he wants to be at 265 for the combine.

I have seen a lot of people mention Lynch got on trouble while at ND for hitting a girl. I have never actually seen the story posted about it, maybe because it was deleted by mods. Can anyone explain what happened or give me any insight on this? Feel free to PM me if you want to keep it off the thread. Reps will be given. Thanks.

If he gets drafted by anyone outside of the state of Florida, his girlfriend will tell him not to sign. He'll demand a trade to Fins or Bucs. Good luck joker.

His girlfriend became his wife. Then she wasn't pregnant. She gone. Keep up.

I don't wish anything bad on the kid. Won't spend a lot of energy rooting for him either though. Mostly, I think we are just seeing a sad, slow, train wreck that we all can see the ending ahead of time. I do hope he figures it out before it gets to that.

I think a couple of stories got combined. Maybe it did happen. But I have had two people that told me that he got it the face of a priest in his dorm and told him that (if the priest hassled him again) he would "knock him the fuck out!"

My understanding was that it occurred at a party, NY and Bogs.

Moral of the story: he didn't fit in at ND and he's still got a lot of growing up to do if he wants to play in a league with a bunch of grown-ass-men.

Question... did anybody ever actually see him do any of these things?

The priest thing is totally unbelievable. Nobody threatens a priest at ND and stays. Nobody.

Seems like a lot of rumour spreading where nobody actually has confirmation of any of it.

Isn't that what message boards and the interwebby thing are for?

Another couple of years, and I'm sure the stories will have grown into him having had to go to the emergency room to have a gerbil removed from his rectum.

I heard if Lynch was still here, he'd consume Michigan with fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his arse.

In all seriousness, this gossiping is kind of ridiculous. He hit a girl? He threatened to hit a priest? And yet, these are all stories with no confirmation whatsoever. Grown men gossiping about what a 18/19 year old may or may not have done years ago.
