Amir is strictly a running back he will not play in the slot.
I think he's an RB as well but he did catch a dozen passes out of backfield as a HS senior for over 230 yds or 19.3 ypc. At Southern Cal in a limited role as a true freshman RB he caught more passes than George Farmer and Kyle Prater combined and had more TDs than Farmer, Prater, Marc Tyler, and Brice Butler combined.
I don't expect Golden Tate reception numbers but would like to see him line up as the single back, along with Eifert, Koyack, and two WRs to be named later, and send him out on a wheel route. He'd draw a backer. Nice mismatch.
And then if Golson or Hendrix can beat out Tommy, there's a lot of open green space out there. Otherwise Gunner can hit somebody 30 yds downfield or Tommy can hit 'em 15-20 yds downfield and they'll just have to run a bit longer with the ball.
Options, options, options.
