I heard he had the surgery this afternoon, on a whim. I hope everything went well.

I just talked to my best friend Matt, who was able to get ahold of Tim Marlow. He said that Danny's surgery went well, The reason he did it today rather than later is because they think he will be in uniform when summer begins. According to Marlow the game plan is to still redshirt him though.

I am sure you mean that he won't play as a freshman, but will stay eligible for a 5th year after graduating? just messin with ya. I have had to explain the difference to alot of my anti-Irish pals around here lately. grin:

Reportedly RR has contacted Dan last week and tried to get him to decommit from ND by getting him to come to UM to play QB. He supposedly told Dan he thinks he could already be the starteer by next week.

Dan told him that he was having surgery so he wouldn't be ready by next year anyway. To which RR replied that he didn't even know Dan was injuried.

Dan then asked if he could garuntee his scholarship even if he was never able to play again. RR that nobody does that and he couldn't garuntee anything.

Dan then mentioned that Coach Weis and Notre Dame does and that's why he'll be sticking with ND.

I've also heard that when the doctors preformed his surgery they discovered that he was only millimeters away from being paralyzed.

That, I can confirm is true. If he had taken another hit to his head in that Akron St. V's game that he says in for after he was initially hurt, he'd be in a wheelchair right now.

There is a theory that it derives from an old Chinese classic poet Nin To-Fu of the 11th century [when there was a lot of traffic between China and Mars before the mongol invasions]. An example of Nin's poetry shows the relationship to modern Martian poems:
