Navy Midshipmen vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Gillette Stadium
Foxborough, Massachusetts
October 31, 2026
Noon ass kicking sets up for an enjoyable drunk fest for the 3:30 and night games
All fifteen of them?i believe Sampson and Fortuna mentioned on the Independent the necessity of this game being early for the contingent of Irish fans in Rome for the basketball games vs Villanova.
I think the implication is there will be some important ND people in Rome for this. All fifteen of them?
Notre Dame winning a noon game and being able to enjoy the rest of the games is peakNoon ass kicking sets up for an enjoyable drunk fest for the 3:30 and night games
Yep. Not that the experience of actual attendees is a major concern when it comes to scheduling, but this is a prime "take the kids" game for Notre Dame's sizeable New England fan base, and starting any later would conflict pretty hard with Halloweening. Especially since it can take two hours to get out of the damn parking lots at Gillette. This is perfect timing imo. Allows the game to finish up early and not conflict with Halloween night for families with small children, and it allows the team to get back to campus as early as possible before the Miami game.
Especially if Arsenal play that morning and win prior to ND being on...Notre Dame winning a noon game and being able to enjoy the rest of the games is peak
They should. This Navy team is a trash bag. They also have two weeks to prepare for the option after playing awful last night. ND is going to throttle navy
Maybe a couple days of Miami prep, but the triple option can't be overlookedNavy is pretty bad this year, so hopefully they can use some extra time to scout Miami and come up with an actual good plan.

My family is happy for a week off from ND football knowing the potential to piss me off has been drasictly reduced!Glad for the bye week because I don't really want to see these motherfuckers on my TV screen for a minute.
I get it from a team standpoint from it absolutely sucks from a fandom standpoint having to sit on this L for 14 days. SucksI'm really happy to have a bye week. The team needs it to reset and ready themselves for the stretch. I just hope staff and players are on the same page. This is no time to waver because adversity happens in college football and in life.
