Interesting stat brought up by Jamie U, regarding Wisconsin’s QB

Out of his 1,000 rushing yards last year, over 900 of them came from designed runs. Meaning he isn’t much a scrambler when he drops back to throw.

Watched the Shane Gillis interview on the Film Guy YouTube channel. When they were predicting the game, Austin said that he thought Wisconsin would be waking up on Monday with buyer's remorse on the ODU QB and said he was a "scheme merchant."

John Brice says he’s been told by multiple sources Wisconsin has spent $30M on this roster …. Where?
Sconny took forever to embrace NIL and honestly doesn't have much money to begin with. Since they were so far behind the 8 ball, it cost a lot to bring in players to revamp the team. We should take this as a life lesson that sometimes it costs money to be so dang cheap

I'd argue the 13th ranked team had a great chance to win it all last year.

More to the point though, teams 13-20 won't have a chance, but it spreads the wealth. It allows everyone a chance at the post season.

Selfishly, making it the top 20 solves three huge issues for us:
-It shuts up the 2 or maybe 3 (Texas) loss crybabies.
-it brings back quality regular season matchups. Teams will schedule us again.
-It allows the smaller conferences a chance at playoffs and a piece of the pie.
Yall are already thinking ‘in an expanded playoff era’… I’m coming from when did those teams ever historically have any legit claim before this nonsense.

If Fickell doesn’t bounce back this year, his initial OC hire will be what did him in. Bringing in Longo to totally revamp the offensive philosophy of a program so steeped in power football is akin to what Rich Rod did coming over to scUM from WVU. Good HC but trying to force a square into a circle is just futile.

Now they have infused some NIL & more talent. I’m sure they had to pay to keep the two stud LB that excelled last season as freshmen. The ASU CB didn’t come cheap. Nor did their RB & QB. Will it all come together? Who knows? The schedule is navigable & their defense should be top 25. They aren’t Purdue.

Would love to see Wisconsin go 8-4 or 9-3 and hang around the bottom of the Top 25. It's not out of the question, given their schedule, and would do wonders for our SOS. Bonus points if they could inflict a little misery on USC in Madison on Oct. 24.

Anybody have opinions on seating section as we've never been to Lambeau. This will be our teenage daughter's first Irish game and she's ecstatic.

Your base revenue share is about $20M and then you have to cut in basketball, etc.. So that's baked in -- good or bad -- for pretty much every Big Ten and SEC program. Then they're paying premiums to entice a large transfer class, but yeah spending $30M to end up with zero high or mid NFL prospects is kinda nutty when ND is spending... $40M? ... and has like 15-20 guys that will be drafted.

Showing 13 4 stars for them, so like 3 a class including transfer, which looks right when u look at 247. In general the talent levels really fall off a cliff outside the top 15-20 so not too surprised they are 32.

Punt and Rally is definitely way lower on them then most. Here’s a few of the other well known ones:

Sargarin: 26!!!
DokterEntropy: 37 - most predictive 2025
TeamRankings.com: 41
FPI: 42
Slate Fluker: 33

FWIW Dokter Entropy (most predictive 2025) has us #1 🤷‍♂️
Dokter has it right again here as usual. Not sure what Punt and Rally is doing. I've found data quality issues on that site before in other sections and the format is a mess across the board (no offense if you're affiliated with that site in any way).

None taken - not affiliated in anyway and agree the power ratings are off, can’t be that far from the most predictive and be a good way of doing it.
