Indy 8, Barrow AK -10. The universe has finally corrected itself.

Got 8” here. Supposed to get a couple before ending around 6:00 tonight. Guess I’ll wait until around 6:00 to get the snowblower out. Stay warm and safe fellas.

Went to the in-laws because of the wife's birthday. Wanted to celebrate her, but I would've been the bad guy if I ruined the 30th birthday party they planned for her by saying we should stay home. Now stuck at the in-laws in what will be 12+ inches of snow.

At least I know back home it's pretty deep too, and I'd bet we won't be going into work anytime soon.

I’m in central Ohio, I’m sitting at 14 degrees and 8 inches of snow so far. They are saying that we’ll get to 16” when this is done.

So we got about a quarter of an inch of ice - then about two inches of sleet. Weirdest stuff I have ever seen. It’s like frozen sandpaper. Bizarre. Supposed to get another half an inch of frozen rain later today. That should be fun.

what pisses me of is that i live in a county here in central Indiana that hardly ever calls for county emergencies due to trying to make all the factory managers happy i guess so i'll have to somehow try to get out monday for work

OOO which districts? I'm in Schuylkill County, went to Millersville, and student taught at Solanco
I teach in Blair County. We were told and later made an announcement to the students on Friday about our FID day on Monday….im predicting we will either have another FID or at least a 2- hour delay on Tuesday. Heck, looking at the temps of this upcoming week, we might have multiple 2-hour delays.

What county?

Decided to go ahead and get the blower working. Glad I didn’t wait. If I have to hit it again later today it won’t take as long.

Supposed to be about 25 degrees or so on my way to work and it’s a pretty long walk from my parking spot,… for years I’ve had a Browns beanie, a Browns leather jacket I almost never get to wear because it’s never cold enough,… these Cowboy fans gonna learn tomorrow

The best thing about our area is that we get to follow up that system snow with a “quick” 4-6 inches of lake effect snow.

I just measured 9” in my backyard. Hoping that they neighbor is feeling generous with his snowblower this afternoon.

Various measurements around my house are in the 8.5" to 10" range in Westfield. Lots of drifting.

What kind of snowblower does everyone recommend? I've made due with an electric snowblower for the last 10 years. The batteries aren't what they once were and this snow storm about did it in. Ended up recruiting shovelers and my neighbor's snowblower to finish off the end of the driveway. Just looked outside and I'm plowed in again. SMH.

I grew up in northwest Indiana. The amount of snow we got in Indy doesn't bother me. It's the fact that no one is ever prepared for it. Everything is shit around here right now.

That 4-6 inches had turned into 8 inches and is still going. To those that have never experienced lake effect, I’m jealous.

I grew up in the region. It is something, that's for sure.

Friends in LaPorte area right now saying they were only expecting a few inches yesterday, but ended up with another 12" on top of what they already had. His wife's flight in from Florida got diverted to Iowa because of the snow. Had to refuel and wait for a clearing in the forecast before landing in Midway.

3 degrees currently in suburban Chicago. The high will be 9. Snow wise, we got a coating to an inch over the weekend. Like @GrangerIrish24 , nothing spectacular.

The sun is out, which usually only happens when the temp drops below freezing. Next week we're in the 30s, no sun.

We have power and clean roads, still allowed to read books and ND is close. I don't plan on leaving.
